I had a question if anyone knows about tradition Lipo ans laser smartipo?
Some dr is charging 10,000, For 3 areas . Another dr is charging 3 areas for 5000. For same ( laser snartipo)
Another dr said traditional Lipo is best! Laser is garbage and doesn't work! ( he said)
I am 50 with 4 kids and can't get rid of saddlebags and Inner thighs...spare tire too!
If I did traditional Lipo would the skin just sag or does laser really work best? I'm confused!!
Sorry if this is a stupid question ..
I got nervous when one charged 10 grand and another charged half. Regular Lipo
Is fda approved

What can I do next?

I suggest that thousands of dollars can be spent better when used for life style changes. Yes, you will have sagging skin that takes time for your body to absorb unless surgery to remove it is a part of the plan. Also, your body will build new fat unless you change your eating habits and get more exercise. And where you increase fat deposits is also caused by genetics.

I have a friend who had weekly treatments to reduce fat in her abdomen. I don't know how the process worked. I do know that several months later her body had the same contours including abdominal fat. The treatment cost thousands of dollars.

I have known women who lost weight but still had saddle bags.

Good that you're asking about the two different procedures. I suggest you also need to know what the outcome is several years later.

I had traditional lipo about five years ago and it was around 5K. I went with a well known highly recommended and reviewed doctor.
I didn't get the tummy tuck (that would have been another 5K plus I didn't want surgery) so yes, my tummy is still soft and flaccid, BUT the lipo got rid of the accumulation of post child bearing fat in my belly area that wouldn't go away with diet and exercise* and at least it's flatter now so I look much better and clothes fit better too. He also took some back fat and a little from the underarm/side boob area :-)
*As far as diet and exercise, I lost weight everywhere else, including places I didn't WANT to lose weight, like my boobs and butt! This is why lipo is so popular, you can target the fat loss.

Every doctor will tell you and offer something different. Thoroughly research a number of doctors. Meet with their patients and see the results in person, if they will let you. Don't go by price, but someone who is charging an atypically low amount compared to other surgeons in the area is probably someone you should avoid.

Once removed, fat will not come back in the same place in the same amount. You can get some new fat in that location if you gain enough weight, but it will never be as much as it was originally.

I had traditional lipo on my upper arms 3 years ago.

For skin...no GOOD plastic surgeon will recommend lipo for you if your skin isn't elastic enough to contract with the fat removal (they'll tell you this at your consult). Or, they may recommend skin removal with it.

The type of lipo they recommend will vary depending on age and training of the doctor. Again...a reputable doctor with experience will tell you which one is best for you depending on your body.

For mine - each body part was $1500 (that's $3000 for both arms). I had mine done in an ambulatory clinic. I also had a hospital quote it, and it was 2x as much. Focus on the facility and the doctor doing it, if you're comparing prices.

For the surgery...it will take 6-9 MONTHS for you to see your final result. Lipo is really nothing to recover from. You'll be sore and drain for a couple of days. Beyond that, there is bruising but not much more. You body will shrink as it heals, and that process takes quite awhile. Just be aware of that.

And for the record - best decision I ever made!
