hi
I love wearing lily padz for braless, or with a dress or swimming buttt not ideal for overnight. i wore it 2 night ago, my 6 wks old daughter actually sleep thru night and in the AM when ready to nurse, i remove the pad and the milk actually came out. it got me worry about what if milk duct got stuck?
i have mine from 2-3 yrs ago when i had my first baby. i didnt wear it much but at least up to 10 time and it is still good to wear now. am consider buy new 1 since it s bit old eh.

enjoy your new lily padz

With my first son I took cloth diapers (used those just for his spitting up not for actual diapers, but he never spit up).
I cut the cloth diapers in round circles big enough to cover my bra & put them inside the bra. They worked wonders! Better than any other pad I tried. The only problem is if you don't sew them together than all the insides will eventually fray & fall out when you wash them. I did not have time to sew so I had to just "deal" with it & eventually buy more. I plan on buying more & sewing them this time. I better hurry baby due in 3 weeks!! However I have not tried Lily Padz I never even heard of them. But other breast pads I tried are a joke!

I wore them and they were ok. I used them when I worked out, but not overnight. I could not imagine using them overnight as they are not absorbent. They'd be good for a special event or for going braless as another post said.
I wish I had known about using burp cloths! I used Lanisol and they were very absorbent, but a little bulky.
HTH!

I thought they were great but definitely prefer the Lansinoh disposable breast pads for everyday use (sold at Target).

The Lily Padz are more for when you wear your bathing suit and can't wear something absorbent. They are also good if your bra is made of thin material. You have to be careful when removing the Lily Padz b/c I found the milk to pool around the nipple and spill out when taking it off.
To maintain the stickiness I would boil them every-so-often.

I did research on these myself before my son was born and I read numerous reviews/articles saying that they can cause/did cause blocked milk ducts and infection. Because of what I read I never used them, but instead used washable breast pads which worked well. The only ones that were horrible were the ones by Medela~I do not recommend this brand. Isis Maternity sells another brand that I bought and they were great. Hope that this helps!

I like them during the day since they are smoothe and comfortable, but you do need to replace them after about a month (they loose their stickiness) and I wouldn't recommend them at night since they are not absorbent enough for that. But they're great for bathing suits, dresses, and other things when you don't want bulk but want protection.
