Dorethia really hit the nail on the head! Do NOT do whole life insurance...my dad did this for his children and when we were told the amount we would each receive it was a joke.

Also, Suze Orman has a great book, "Women and Money" that has great advice and she's been right on track with the recession. Her website gives a lot of detail too! www.suzeormanshow.com

Good Luck!

Greetings Cherie,
Term Life insurance is pure insurance, no bells no extras, you pay, you die, somebody gets a check period. Best place to get it is through Primerica we give you a FREE Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) which helps determine the correct amount and also takes a look at your total financial needs and goals. Call me at ###-###-#### for your Free FNA.

Hey lady!
Term is a life insurance policy purchased for a certain # of years. If the person dies during this term, the beneficiary receives the face amount of the policy. The policy expires at the end of the stated number of years.

Buy 20 year term at 10x Annual Salary. (If you have children esp) If you don't like the rate w/10x you can play around with it a little. Somewhere between 7 & 10x is okay.

Some agents will want to sell you Universal Life, Whole Life etc, etc. Stick w/Term Life - it isn't wise to use your Life Ins. policy as a means to invest and the returns are minimal.

Children: You just need to be able to cover funeral costs around $7,000 - $10,000

Singles: No spouse, no dependents same as above, unless there is someone or a charity you would like to leave money to.

I hope this helps.

I am not sure where you are located, but you should go and speak to Sam Pelligrino in Taylor. He is a 25+ year State Farm agent. His office is located on the corner of Goddard and Beech Daley. He would be able to answer you questions, and help you find the best options for you and your family. I HIGHLY recommend him. The ladies in his office are wonderful!! If you get a chance to go meet with him, you can tell him that Scott and L. sent you. His address is: 25755 Goddard, Taylor, Mi 48180. And his phone number is: ###-###-####.
