Leg Pain During Pregnancy (Not from Cramps)

I'm 14weeks,1day, and noticed night before last my left calf was a little sore. Today it's very sore, both with weight on it and when sitting down. I'm not having any cramps in it at all (very light sleeper, so not having them and just sleeping through either). I drink lots of orange juice and eat lots of asparagus, so I don't think I'm low on potassium. I have a dr's appt. tomorrow so I'm going to tell Dr. about it tomorrow of course, but would really like to know if anybody has ideas on what it could be????

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Ok, I called (took a while to get anyone but the receptionist on the phone) but was told since I'm coming in tomorrow, they'll just look into it then :/ because they have no room to fit me in today, but to go to the ER if I start feeling very weak, dizzy etc. I'm really nervous now, my mom had blood clots during her pregnancy with my baby sister, not sure if this is one of the things that could give me a higher risk
of having them myself? I'll update this after my appt. tomorrow, thank ya'll for the help!!!!

UPDATE: Had my appt today, but no ultrasound of my leg yet, they scheduled it for Wednesday and told me to take it easy till then :/

I would go ahead and call your doctor and see if they will see you early. I'm assuming that your appt tomorrow is just a regularly scheduled visit, right?

During pregnancy, your risk of DVT (blood clots in the legs) is increased. Not trying to scare you, but that is a risk during pregnancy. And if you are having pain in your leg that you can't explain, then you need to see your doctor. Call them and ask about the leg pain specifically TODAY.

Just want to second the previous post. Sounds like it could possibly be a blood clot. Better to get it checked out. I had one with my last pregancy and they sent me to get an ultrasound of it at an imaging center to make sure it wasn't a DVT - fortunately it was not. I have to wear prescription compression hose this pregnancy and the vascular doctor told me that your veins and blood flow change very quickly after you become pregnant so you could certainly be having problems this early even though there isn't a lot of extra weight on your legs from baby yet. (I tried to get her to let me wait until later to wear them and she said no! ;) )

Yes, make sure they check you for a DVT. They can be very dangerous if they dislodge, so I would recommend taking it easy tonight and elevating your legs. Try not to walk around too much until it's checked out.
