My 15week old daughter, tends to sleep more on herleft sid then her right. I try putting her on her right side, but she does not like it. I have rolled up a blanket to try to keep her on her right side, but some how she ends up on her left side. Other times she just sceams, if i put her on her right side. I*m just conserd that, her head will become uneven from being on her left side more. How can I get her to lay on her right side?

What can I do next?

S., congrat's on the new baby. Your little one will be fine. her head will be even, so no need to stress. She will turn her head to a comfy position when she needs to. While she is sleeping, let her sleep where she feels comfy ( if you take note of your sleeping habits I am sure you would find that you too have a comfy spot to sleep, mine was my stomach so for nine months that STUNK!!!). If your still concerend about it, during the day have "tummy time" where you lay the baby on her tummy, "back time" where she is on her back, and that is also a good time for you to do "baby arobics", take her legs and push them towards her belly, and then pull them out towards you ( obviously not to hard), during this time you can set her on her right side with you laying next to her and talking to her. Enjoy every minute with her that she is small for that doesn't last for to long.( my little one's are now 8,8,6,and 5.. I miss those days of them being so tiny)

It is very normal and okay to be concerned. I remember having a similar problem with one of my girls. They say that it isn't a good idea to have too many things in the crib with them because of a possible chance of them suffocating. Sorry to be so blunt, but i wanted you to know. She is a very independent girl already and know what she wants. Maybe if you put a few rolled blankets around her crib guard to kind of make the inner part of the crib smaller. Try also singing and rocking her to sleep in your arms when she screams and then placing her on her right side once she is asleep.

Hi - congratulations on your baby girl!!! I know that you can't change the shape of your baby's head from sleeping position, unless she really spends all day like that. All the hours that she is held, in her carseat, slung (in a sling over your shoulder) or wrapped up next to you will make it impossible! Let her sleep however she'll sleep. Mine often went to their tummy about that age. The critical age for sids is 12 weeks. There are no cases of head malformation from sleeping, in my research. :D

Talk with a doctor make sure there is not a underlying problem such as an ear infection. I am not sure what it is called but babie r' us sells a body position item that will help keep her on her side and has some support. I hope this will help you and good luck.

I am sure you have a side that you are more comfortable sleeping on too. Why force her to sleep on a side she does not feel comforable? Relax her head will be fine.

My three children always slept on their back, has your baby tried that position? Does she only like sleeping on the side? Other than putting a baby on their back for SIDS prevention rather than the stomach, if your baby ends up on one side or the other I wouldn't stress. Thank the stars above your baby sleeps! =)

i don't think you really have to worry about her head being uneven as long as she doesn't lay on the left side for extensive periods of time.. i think she will be ok.
