Last summer my son threw my iPhone in the pool! I let it sit in the car dash board in the sun (very hot) for two days. After two days I turned it on and it worked!
Maybe you could try doing this?
My phone went dead with about two months until I could get a phone upgrade. I ended up buying one of those GO phones for about $25 and just put my SIM card in that phone. There is definitely no special features to it, but at least it is a phone. Good luck!
Wait before you buy a new one.
Get a Tupperware or fully sealable bowl. Get some silica gel (little packets that come with a new purse, etc) or some Damp Rid.
Take phone completely apart from battery, cover, etc, seal in the bowl for about a week.
We did this with my daughter's old razor and it worked until we got her upgrade for her iphone.
Maybe it will help you.
You may wait a few more days before buying a new phone. My hubby dropped my phone in a hot tub a few years ago--it was completely submerged--and after it dried completely out (I can't remember how long that took--days), it worked normally again. Not sure if it'll work in your case, but it may be worth a shot! Good luck!
did you try craiglist i bought my phone there
if you buy a new one please buy the insurance is more cheaper pay deductible than buy a new one
I second the GO phones. My stepmother is constantly ruining phones and she finally started to replace them with those cheap phones that you can get at CVS, Walmart, etc. and they work fine.
You may wait a couple of days and see if it starts working. I dropped my Palm in water once, and went out and bought a new phone. A few days later (once the Palm was fully dry I guess) it started to work.
You HUSBAND put the sheets in the wash? K., you are a lucky woman!
I have a friend who had a similar thing happen....the Apple store told him to try putting it in a container of rice for a few days. Then, it powered right up....we were amazed! But, with his phone, he could hear us, but we could not hear him. He had to get a new phone anyway, but your situation may be different. Worth a shot!
