N.B.
Both of my kids were born before I was 20, and I could squeeze a drop of milk out of either side until well past 40, and I only nursed the first one for 6 weeks.
I nursed two kids with no breaks between for a total of 3 1/5 yrs. I weaned my youngest about 6 months ago. I also nursed one sided for about the last year of nursing. I have had no issues with leaking milk since weaning, I know it is normal and my husband can usually get a little out on occasion. But other than during sex, no leaking since weaning. Yesterday morning and this morning it appears that I have leaked just a couple of drops from the one side that I DIDN"T nurse on with my last baby. I am wondering if this is normal, should I be worried? I should start my period this weekend, so in the next 2-4 days. Is leaking before a period normal? I have read some women will leak during ovulation... I dunno, what do you think? Thank you so much!

Yes very normal...It might throw of your cycle though..I just saw my doctor for the same reason. I didn't even nurse. Dried up within 8 weeks after birth by March..and then 3 months later June started lactating again for no reason. Had normal menstrual cycle until this happened. I had an ultrasound and regular gyn exam...No problems..For peace of mind be checked out by your OB/GYN and you should be fine.
I have leaked since I stopped nursing my son 2.5 yrs ago. I had to go in and have blood work done to check hormone levels and they were all normal but I really leak. I would actual have let down if I heard a baby cry and would leak a lot when holding a baby. It was horrible. I wasn't nursing and still had to wear nursing pads.
