Hey M.!
I love shout and spray-n-wash. My youngest son is almost 2 and he has never liked wearing a bib. So just imagine what his clothes look like. I can get his whites sparkling clean with spray-n-wash(or shout) and bleach.
Anyone have any experience with good stain removers for laundry??? I can't find anything that I like!!! Any suggestions???? PLEASE :)
Thanks everyone for your advise. I was just checking to see if anyone had any other ideas that I haven't tried. THANKS AGAIN!!!
Hey M.!

I am a shout fanatic!!!! it gets all kinds of crud out of clothes...especially baby food and poop out of my daughters clothes. i also love the clorox bleach pins...great for getting stains out of clothes that have white and colors.
The absolute best is Spray and Wash Dual Power. It comes in a bottle with a pink liquid on one side and white on the other. It works soooo well. Even on stains that were months/years old! The only down side is that it is a little pricey. 2.99 or more
I use Tide with Bleach alternative for my regular washing, I filled a travel squirt bottle with it and it stays in the bathroom for pre-treating and soaking clothes. I also use oxi-clean with my daughters clothes or anything else that needs extra cleaning. I found that to get blood out of anything peroxide works the best! After I had my daughter, I got some blood on my brand new matress, my mom suggested pouring a little peroxide on it and it bubbled up and I was able to blot away the rest or the stain. Hope this helps!
shout spray works great for us....gets just about everything out!!
I've found that home remedies work best (dawn for grease, lemon juice, vinegar, baking soda....) but it depends on what kind of stain you've got and how long it's sat in the material and whether it's been exposed to heat.....
I'd recommend the book Home Comforts as seen here:
http://www.amazon.com/Home-Comforts-Science-Keeping-House...
Great book. A little highbrow (most of us don't have servants to manage or nannies to shop for), but if you keep in mind the wealth of knowledge supplied instead of who's providing the information, it's a treasure.
I use spray and wash spray for stains that you are going to wash immediately. I use spray and wash stick for stains that won't be washed for a day or two. I also put one scoop of oxy clean in with every wash. I never have any problems getting the stains out!
For stains on white clothing, I have found that the Clorox bleach pen works wonders! My daughter had chocolate pudding all over the front of her shirt. I used the pen, and now you can't even see a spot! I also use a scoop of oxyclean with each wash, that helps a lot too.
I use Oxy Clean detergent balls and it gets everything out. I bought the starter kits at Krogers a couple weeks ago and I love it. It got orange cough syrup out of my daughters white undershirt and pajamas. Try it.
If you can find the spray and wash tablets, they are wonderful. I can't find them here but I use the spray and wash dual power. It works great to, but it's more time consuming becasue you have to spray each piece.
I always keep a big bowl in the sink by the washer & dryer. I soak anything with a stain in water & oxy clean for a few hours before even trying to wash. Usually no extra treatment is needed. The bleach pens I have used make yellow spots where the stain was, which isn't much better.
I use shout spray & love it, it gets all my kids stains out, even as babies
My best friend swears by this stain remover called Apples for life. You can buy it from the Life Uniform store. They sell scrubs etc. YOu can't buy it anywhere else. She brought some over to me to try on a stain and it worked!! It is wonderful!! She has used it on everything from formula, blood, grass stain etc. and it works every time:) Good Luck.
BIZ!!! My husband looked in to removing stains from HIS clothes (more than 25 years old) and found that you need enzymes. I guess BIZ ahs enzymes. So he bought some, soaked the clothes overnight per the directions and low and behold, his baby clothes came out without stains!
Good Luck:)
Have I got a solution for you with 4 boy's to raise over the year's you learn a thing or two!!!
It's cheap and work's like a charm Peroxide use full strengh on tuff stain's and let set over night working it in. Then you can use it half and half in a squeeze bottle for lighter stain's.
It really has saved a lote of clothes in our house.
Give it a try

Hi M.,
I use Prespot. It's manufactured by a company called Melaleuca. It works really well. My husband is a mechanic and comes home covered in grease. I spray it on his clothes before I wash them. When their done laundering, they look like he's never been to work. I have information on their products on my website www.homeofficemamma.com. You can also look at the website www.melaleuca.com
It sounds silly, but the best stain remover is Spray-N-Wash. You can usually find it at Family Dollar or generic grocery stores like Save-A-Lot. Make sure that after you spray it you rub the fabric together, that helps get the stain remover into the fabric. Make sure you use the stain remover and bleach with your whites. I've never used any detergents or specialized stain removers you see on tv, so I don't know how those work. Also, for bibs, try the throw away bibs. You can get them at wal-mart, or I found a pack of ten plastic, disposable bibs, in a easy to carry zip lock bag, at Wow It's a Dollar..for..that's right..$1!!! Hope this helped
I know you will say Im crazy but I deal with stains alot from where my hubby works and I bought alot of stuff didnt work so one day I sprayed oven cleaner let soak then washed stain came right out .
I know this is a little late, but a lot of household cleaners out there are very toxic to you and your family. I am partnered with a compnay that has cleaning products that are all safe for you environment. They cost less than what you would pay for other cleaning products at the store, since they are highly concentrated! They work wonders. If you would like more information on them please let me know. My number is ###-###-#### or my email is ____@____.com
Hope to talk to you soon!
Shout works wonders sometimes. If it is white, those new Clorox bleach pens are awesome, but since it has bleach in it, you have to be really careful.
Shout spray. It works great.
I use liquid Tide w/ bleach for regular washing and if something is stained I pretreat the spot with the Tide. This usually works the first time, but occasionally I will check it prior to drying it and if there is still some staining I treat it again. The best thing to do is pretreat it immediately even if you are not going to do laundry for a day or two.
Totally Toddler was recommended to me when my daughter was born and I loved it!! It took out formula stains (which I heard were hard to remove), diarrhea out of her christening gown, and lots of other stuff on my husband's clothes. I used to buy it at WalMart and Meijer, although my local ones don't seem to carry it anymore. The Totally Toddler website (www.totallytoddler.com) lists where you can get it. It has a ncie scent and I just treated each piece as I undressed her then (if I remembered, spritzed it again right before it went in the wash), then washed it. I'd try it at least once before you go to something more harsh, like bleach. Good luck! J.
I use D. Dish liquid. Make sure you put it on before washing or drying.
Nothing works better than white Dial Soap. Wet the fabric, rub it all over the stain, and then wash with detergent as usual. For tough stains, let the item sit in the water (with the Dial on it) for a little while. I promise...it's a lifesaver! : )
My mom said Shout Gel with the brush attached to the bottle. I may have to use it a couple of times to salvage a poopstain but my mom said it'll get anything out.
oxiclean! Works on colors or whites. It is a little pricy but you will definately love it. Makes all my clothes even brighter.
For baby stains and some others, we hang things outside when the sun is shining strong!
Depending on what type of stains. This might soound stupid but if it is blood or a ink pen stain try spraying some hairspray on it. Let it set for a couple of minutes and throw it into the washer. See if that will help you.
