Laser Hair Removal

I have decided I am ready to do it! I am so over shaving everyday! I am looking for a good place to have laser hair removal. I had a friend that went to Renissance, but it seems kind of expensive. I'm not looking for the cheap way out...I want it to be a good job. I know you can get burned from the laser, so whatever it takes. I just thought maybe some of you have had it done. I am done having babies, so it's time for me. Where did you get it done? How much did it cost? Was it worth it? I am part hispanic...dark skin and dark hair...are results typically good for my ethnicity?

What can I do next?

Where do you live? There is a very reasonable place in Keller. I forget the name right now, but if you live in this area, I will find it out for you. I had my lip done (somewhere else), and it was OK. I still have stranded black hairs, but they guarantee they will keep doing it at no charge until I am happy. Laser hair removal works best on people with light skin and dark hair, but as long as you don't have red or blonde hair, it should work fine. Hope this helps.

I used American Laser Center's services for my underarms. From what I understand, there are other packages slightly less expensive than theirs out there, but this company offers the best guarantee and touch up service. I don't think there is really a cheap way to do it. I want to do my legs, but the cost is pretty high. It is so nice, though, to have my underarms done and not have to worry anymore about the irritation from shaving and then applying deodorant. It's worth it if you have the money! Nothing is worth going into debt though:) Don't do that:)

I had laser removal done on my face and bikini and inner thigh areas, I have to say I am not completely satisfied. I went to Rennisance in Lewisville and I cant even tell you the number of treatments I had to get for my face. I know the darker the hair and the more hair you have, the more treatments you need, but I spent a lot of money on this stuff and still really need more treatments, especially on my bikini area.

I would really check into some other places because its all controlled by levels (the laser machine), some people can tollerate higher levels of the laser, which means more "zaps" if you will. The more "zaps" with the laser, the more hair thats getting treated, especiall for us darker haired people.

There is one place that advertises on the radio, they say they charge by the treatment so that you are getting the most out of your treatments vs. buying some package, you might check into them. Its called NU Body, I have not checked into them yet, but will once I can get back the time to do the treatments.

Let me know how things go!

I dont even know for sure if it works since I have not yet done it for a complete week but I did some research and bought a product name Kalo that is supposed to stop hair growth-if you pluck and reduce and thin color of hair if you shave. They have spray for large body areas and lotion for smaller ones (face) but I will let you know if it is good or not. I am feeling like I see a difference but don't know yet if that is just cause my mind wants to believe we did not waste $30. lol
As I can't afford laser treatment I thought I would give this a try.
