Hi V.,
Have you tried searching, "landscape architect" in your area?

Our home is 31 years old and our landscaping is overgrown and no curb appeal. We need a change. Have any of you done this and who did you use? I want to see drawings and ideas before I decide and a free estimate would be nice. A new walkway up to our front entrance and side steps or ramp beside the driveway is needed also. Thanks

I have not done this before, but I would recommend a company I used to work for, Alexander's Landscape and Irrigation located in North Richland Hills on Davis Blvd.
Hello, unfortunately I cannot give you a recommendation for a landscaper since we haven't had much luck in the area the last couple times we've had ours redone/updated. However, I would just like to give you my opinion on who NOT to use. What's unfortunate is we got their name and contact info off of Mamasource too... Their name is Ideal Landscapes out of Ft. Worth. They did some work for us about 6 months ago and it's horrible. Everything they've done is coming apart and dying and is horrible quality. The sad thing is they tried to charge us extra for work which was already included in the bid. Luckily my husband made sure that didn't happen. Anyways, good luck with finding someone you like and trust and if you're happy please post the results on this website so the rest of us can use them also.
I did want to include this info though:
We have a gardening service which does a lot of work in our neighborhood and all their work looks wonderful. The name of the service is The Garden Lady. Here is her website address: http://www.gardenlady.net/. Good luck!
Pinckard Landscaping Services. My husband, Lon Pinckard, is the owner. He's been in business since 1993 and is a member of the BBB. He covers all areas of landscaping included stone and concrete walkways and patios. Complete landscape renovation including stonework is his specialty. He has a landscape designer on staff if you need a formal plan drawn up. His cell# is ###-###-####. Or you can visit his booth at the All Texas Garden Show with Neil Sperry at the Arlington Convention Center on February 26, 27 & 28.
I was able to get a very professional drawing for a reasonable cost many years ago from a landscape architect I found at one of the local home & garden shows. I'm pretty sure there will be one at the Arlington Convention Center later this month. Take some photos of your landscape with you and you may find someone there that you like.
