I got a call from a company called KT Associates and they want to clean 2 rooms of my house for free as they believe that word of mouth advertising is much more effective than any ad. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever heard of them or has any experience with them.

I'm trying to call them this morning to cancel the appointment. They told me on the phone that the reason they do this is because word of mouth advertising is much better than spending thousands on print and media ads. I can agree to that so that's why I thought it was okay. However, I'm not going to be pressured into a vacuum sale. Hopefully I can get in touch with them. The thing that sucks is that I do have to be here this afternoon because Comcast is switching over our phone service and you know how kids are, they have to go to the door when someone knocks. We can't pretend we're not home! lol
When they come to your door - tell them you and your whole family have the flu and they can't come in!!!!

I googled KT & Associates in Michigan and it is a Kirby vacuum sales company. They will come in to do a high pressure demonstration. If you can afford it the Kirby is a wonderful vacuum cleaner because it does so much more but I have yet to be able to afford or justify spending the money on one. You never know....you just might like it. At least now you know what you are really agreeing to with their "free cleaning". They are going to basically tell you how dirty your house really is and creep you out....LOL.

I have never heard of them however, I have heard of cleaning companies doing this. Send them my way for a freebie and maybe I will use them too. Can you send me some info on Prmerica I have seen their offices around and I have been called for a job once or twice from them. I would appreicate it and good luck with the cleaning company.
Be careful. Sometimes what they tell you as a "room" only means the walking paths, not the entire room. Some even clean a stripe down the middle of your room, and leave you with the only option to purchase their machine to even out the rug, or you have to somehow clean the rest of your carpet to make it ALL clean.
i have some dealing with them. they would like u to buy a machine and they check your credit and stuff like that. not worth your time.
