Know Any Great Midwives?

Congrats on your latest pregnancy! I am a doula and childbirth educator, and have the joy of working alongside many of the midwives in the area. For a birth center birth, I would recommend any of the midwives at the Baby Place in Meridian. If you are more comfortable delivering at a hospital Georgiana Ainslie is also great, at St. Als. St. Lukes does not support midwives. :(

I love my midwives!! Paula, Teresa and Shelly at Treasure Valley Midwives are wonderful! I had baby #4 with them last May. I highly recommend them if you are having an out of hospital birth. They have a lovely birth center or will assist at your home birth. If you are looking for a hospital midwife, sorry, I don't know any. Feel free to email me if you need further info on TVM. (By the way, I have a house full of girls, too! Are you going to find out or be surprised about your #4?)

I very highly recommend The Baby Place in Meridian. Colleen Goodwin is excellent and so are all of the assistants. You go there for all your appointments and to have your baby. Call them and set up an appointment to have a tour and to ask any questions you have -- ###-###-####.

Paula Weins & Teresa Acheson are the best! They are Treasure Valley Midwives & are incredible. I had my daughter 10 years ago (wow) but they have helped a few of my friends in the last couple years (& those with more than one child have used them for all of their births which I think speaks for itself.) I had baby number 2 with TVM, a VBAC. Paula, Theresa and Shelly are fabulous. I will definitely go back to them with #3. Paula is just finishing her nurse midwife degree so that more insurances will pay for their services. Best of luck!
