My friend, Brian Shaver, is a personal trainer and massage therapist - he's fabulous!! I highly recommend him. Let me know if you'd like his contact info.
I live in Lenexa/Shawnee area, and I really need a massage. I don't want to spend spa rates though. Can any one recommend a good therapist or massage place with reasonable prices?

My daughter is attending Pennicle Career Institute for Massage Therapy. She/They can give you a massage at school for a VERY reduced rate OR she can come to your home. They are located at 103rd and Holmes Rd.
My friend Amanda is awesome! Her number is ###-###-####.
I'd recommend the student massage clinic at BMSI Institute, a nationally accredited massage therapy school in Overland Park, 96th and Antioch (roughly). They only charge $25 for an hour basic swedish massage ($35 for special techniques), and they also do body scrubs and foot reflexology. Try it!

My sister-in-law, Ana Beckett, is the bomb! She works out of their home in Brookside. She has been doing Massage for 10 years (give or take a year). ###-###-####.
Come visit us at Massage Envy in Lenexa (913-888-ENVY)--we're at 87th & Pflumm, by the Starbucks.
...and next week on Tuesday, Oct. 21st, we are having 1/2 Price Massage day in honor of National Massage Therapy Awareness Week! All one-hour massages are 1/2 off....first time visitors massages are just $39...so half of that would be $20!!!
All nine KC locations are participating in the 1/2 Price Massage day...so anyone that wants to try out Massage Envy...that's a great day to do it!

You should try Massage Envy. They have several locations in KC, including one at 87th and Pflumm. It's $39 for a 1 hour massage. I just got an email from them saying that they will have half price massages on Tuesday (10/21). I think it's National Massage Week or something. Their phone number is ###-###-####. I get massages there on a regular basis, and all the therapists I have used were great!
Try a massage school like Heritage College in KCMO- I've been there several times and found that the quality was just about equal to any professional massage that has cost more than I could afford. Good for you for treating yourself!
massage envy has 1 hour massages, you pick what type you need, for $39. they are all over the area. call 411 for a #, then decide on the location best for you.
Diane Lake is in Lenexa (Ahhh therapy massage). She operates out of her home, and she is really good ($60 per hour). I don't have her #,but you can probably look it up online.
