W.D.
My son is in Kindergarten at Marjorie Rawlings this year. I picked this one as my first choice mainly because it's less than half a mile from my house. I thought it would be nice for my kids to go to school with the neighbors. We walk to school with the boys up the street and there are 2 other families on my street, and the family behind us whose kids all go to the same school. There are special programs for art or math or other stuff at other schools, but to me, at such a young age, socailization and belonging to the neighborhood community is more important than a magnet program.
If you look at http://www.pinellaschoice.org/, you can find the schools in the area and see what kind of track record they have.
