Hi there!
I'm going crazy finding shoes that fit my daughter, size 2 Wide. Stride Rite never seem to have her size in anything, Payless quality is crappy and they wear out after 2 weeks, and they rarely have her size either.
Where do you guys shop for shoes? Prices?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for your replies.
We ended up going to New Balance, since it is really close to us.
I always thought sports stores were more expensive, but they actually had a sale going on, with A LOT to choose from, and both my kids found something they liked - for 19 dollars each. Can't beat that!
Thanks Again!

My son also has wide feet. we have tried skater shoes like DC's and now we like New Balance. His doctor recommended New Balance with shoe inserts becasue his feet are so wide and flat. I order them at Zappos.com and they come the next day with freee shipping. You can even try them on in a store for the right fit and order them from there which I find to be cheaper. Good luck.

I've used this site many times and have always had great customer service. Free shipping and free shipping on returns. I've returned shoes that didn't fit without a problem. Great selection and there is a sale section.

Harry Harris in Santa Monica. Expensive but worth it.

Salamader shoes in Alpine Village (Torrance) has a good selection of wide sizes for kids - or at least they used to. I haven't been there in a few years but my nieces have very wide feet and my sister was always able to find sturdy & stylish shoes for them there.

Land's end has awesome shoes. They have wide width and their catalogs come with a measuring device. the prices are about the same as STride rite. The quality is better.

My children have wide feet and they love the brand: Tsukihoshi Kids. I like the fact that the insoles are washable and extremely light weight. They have it on line at zappos.com and there's a store called Brooks shoes in Manhattan beach that carries the brand. If you check out Brooks, make sure you sign up (free) they've got a program where you buy 9 shoes you get the 10th free I think.

My son is wearing orthotics and we had to get him shoes at New Balance, and he wears size 2 wide as well.
New Balance has a store in Torrance. It's not cheap, but they do last long.
The other thing you might try if your daughter is willing is to buy her boys Vans. The ones that aren't full of padding tend to run wide.
