Just Moved to the Fort Worth/ Hurst/ Euless Are and Need Recommendations Please!

I love my pediatrician. Her name is Amy Phillip and she is with the Cooks Children Network. They just moved to a very nice office off of Heritage Trace. I also love my dentist for my kid. Everyone in the office is amazing and they make the kids feel very at ease. (ex: my kid is 3 and they cleaned her teeth, took xrays and did an examination without her freaking out) Her name is Susan Robinson.

I love our pediatrician. He is in Grapevine, and well worth the trip. Dr. Erikc Hopkins - ###-###-#### with Cooks. Our dentist is also in Grapevine and she is amazing with a great office staff, Dr. Sandra Lee Armstrong- ###-###-####, her nurse was willing to come in on a Friday night or Saturday to take care of my son because he had pain in his mouth and thought it was a tooth coming in where his spacer is.

For a GP I recommend the doctors at Kaner Medical Group ###-###-#### they are at 183 and Bedford Road.

My kiddos see Dr. James Friedman at Fort Worth Pediatrics. They have night and weekend hours so if you're a working mom it's awesome. We have seen several doctors there and pretty much have no complaints. The doctors there are "older" and trust parents' instincts. They don't make you feel stupid. There are three offices in the network, we go to the one on Merrimac Circle close to the Fort Worth Zoo. This is the office that has the after hours clinic also. I did want to add, after reading another post, that the office is also "old" If you're wanting a new modern office, FW Pediatrics might not be for you. If you want experienced doctors that know their stuff and love kids, it's a perfect match.

Dr John Dalton @ Cooks Children's in Hurst is EXCELLENT and very kind! It is also a help that the urgent care center is on the same block. His # is ###-###-####. We have used his service for 14 years and we also love the nurses.

Some recommendations:
Dr. William Kirk Davis (he is in the same practice as Amy Phillips and Layla Edwards) as pediatrician
Dr. Bridget McAnthony (Dr. Mac) pediatric dentist
Both are in the keller area, but easily accessible to mid-cities.
As far as a GP, I don't have any recommendations, but Texas Health Resources has a physician referral line that you can access fromt heir web site. They can help you look by a variety of criteria including what kind of insurance you have, proximity and practice type.

For a pediatrician, I would choose one in the Cook Children's network. I love my son's dr. that's in this network, but he's off University by the Fort Worth Zoo.

We love Dr Stinson Jones at FW Pediatrics. It's on Rosedale & Henderson. Might also try his son Mark Jones.

Check out Dr. Purdue; takes care of all the Gladney babies, etc and is very thorough and kind.

I personally love Dr. James Wheeler in Bedford. 2716 Tibbets dr.
Bedford, Tx 76022 ###-###-####. He's wonderful--takes plenty of time with the parents, great with the kids.

Something else you might want to try is the Doc Shops put on by Texas Health Harris Methodist HEB Hospital. (I work for the hospital system, so I have a bias here.) You have the opportunity to interview physicians in a very casual, speed-dating like environment. Dentist: Dr. Lawrence Oliver - LOVE him.

GP: MaxHealth - Dr. Jeffrey Bullard - LOVE him more. And he's not bad looking to boot! ;)

Both are in Colleyville off 121 and Glade, next to Colleyville Heritage HS.

BTW, I live in Hurst, and I have no problem making the drive over to see my dentist or doctor.
