It's the summer and we've been through our 2nd weekend of the stomach virus =( NO FUN. Two of my kids had it last weekend and then yesterday my husband and my other child started throwing up! I'm using lysol wipes like crazy! I'm glad this didn't happen during the school year, but geez...

Anyone else have a lovely experience like this?

What can I do next?

Sorry. Being sick in summer is no fun at all. When my oldest were 1 1/2, I took a week off work so we could go have some fun. Finally, they were old enough to actually do things, you know, hands on type of stuff. They got sick Monday morning and were sick until Wednesday night. We got in 2 days and luckily it was nice weather. We hit the beach, the Children's Museum and went to Navy Pier where they chased the seagulls and pigeons like crazy.

Not in the summer, but there was one month in the winter awhile back where I had H1N1 flu, then just as I was getting better one of the kids got sick with a stomach bug, then the other one came down with it...for almost an entire month straight someone was very sick here.

I hope you all get past this and then it is OVER for a few years at least.

It's surely miserable!
Have the sick people take frequent soaking baths.
It always helped our sons stomach to relax - plus if he threw up again in the tub is was the easiest place to clean up.
Put them on fluids - clear broth, ginger ale (warm or cold), gatorade or pedialyte - and keep them on it for awhile - maybe a few days.
Jello is good too but if they throw up after eating that is will stain.
they don't actually need to eat solid food for quite a long time as long as they stay well hydrated.
You'll get through this and will be able to enjoy the rest of the summer!

So sorry! Sounds like you all need a vacation somewhere other than you all are! (Though being sick on vacation is also awful.)

Make sure it's not something in your frig that's causing it. Maybe throw away old condiments, etc? A big dump might help...

Oh yes, I feel your pain. This Fourth of July holiday has been quite awful, with my son coming down with a nasty cold/croup virus, and he recently gave it to me and I'm 35 weeks pregnant. We've had a long "vacation" of very little sleep, lots of tissues, and staying home while the housework is piling up. Hope everyone feels better soon!

Christmas the year my daughter was 1. All five of us came down with a horrible norovirus type illness on the 24th. I will spare you the details. THEN the sewer main gave up after all the flushing. We sent my stepkids to their mom's when they were well enough because we couldn't use any water (laundry) and DH, DD and I hunkered down til the main was replaced.
