Also recommend the Chariot double. Easily converts to bike trailer and can also use for cross-county skiing with ski attachment
I want to get back into running and need to upgrade my jogging stroller. I currently have a Schwinn but am not happy -- it seems to veer to the right no matter what I do. I'm looking to get back into marathoning so I'm going to put on some miles. Any recommendations?

We have the Charriot and absolutely love it. We use it frequently behind our bikes as well. The feature I like the most is the ability to completely cover it so you can take it out when it is cold or rainy and they aren't exposed to the elements, or you can just have the screen so they don't get mosquito bites or you can have it more open with just the sunshade. Very versitile and adapatable which we didn't find with any other jogger. One final thing is that you can get stroller wheels as well so it can turn easily when you are in a grocery store etc. Obviously I think it is the best.
Hey B.,
I love my BOB jogging stroller. They're a little spendy but so worth it. Very easily maneauverable and seems comfortable enough for the little ones. Well worth the money if you plan to put some miles on it.

Hi-
We have a BOB also and LOVE it. WE made sure to get the handle bar accesory so we have a place for our beverage, and a little pocket for keys/phone etc. We also bought the car seat adapter and now that our son is loder we put the snack tray on it. It is nice to ahve a snack tray, however the child sits so low that they ahve to reach up to grab something, and the cup holder is so small the only thing that would fit in there would be a Red Bull :):) not many 1 yr olds are drinking that yet I hope...
Anyway, we have the brake, and our front wheel swivels or locks. I REALLY feel the brak is nessesary because the bigger your child gets, the stroller is lightweight and will roll on you if not locked.
We have the BOB Revolution and really like it: smooth ride, compact folding (all wheels come off-good for small cars or traveling for a marathon), 5 pt. harness, swivel wheel/locking wheel option,. We use it as our everyday stroller as well, and when our son was a baby, we had an infant car seat adapter that was sold separately. We also bought a drink holder for the top of the stroller. Downsides: no railing/drink or snack holder in the front so you have to keep passing snacks unless you want them spilled, not much storage space for holding diaper bags or backpacks. The cost is around $400. Other than that, it is lightweight for running or walking outside!
I have a Tike Tech stroller and am currently training for the Twin Cities Marathon in October. I really like the stroller and so does my son. Although it may not be the lightest stroller on the market, it has a lot of great features, like an extra big "roof" with a little canopy for extra shade. There is also a basket underneath and many many pockets to stash your stuff. I have packed for an entire picnic and beach in that basket, and run 3 miles with it all in there! We had an issue with this stroller being misaligned on the front wheel, but we took it to a bike shop and fixed it right up. Although there may be better (and more expensive) strollers out there, I've been really happy with this one.
I had the B.O.B. stroller and loved it! I chose to go with no brakes so that I could have a swivel from wheel. You have to choose which on works best for you. If you live around lots of hills, you might want the brakes. Also, if your doing long distance you may not need a tire that has the swivel option.
My friend bought one from "Bill and Teds"????? It was really cool, b/c it had a sling that hung lower that the seat for an extra child. So it's the same size as a regular single jogger, but could carry two kids. I didn't need that option, but if you planning on more kids you might want to look into it.
baby jogger is supposed to be a top of the line brand for serious joggers
shop around to find it cheaper
Get a BOB. I have a BOB Revolution and LOVE it. I don't run, but I wanted something I could go anywhere with. There are lots of different versions for runners, off-road and around town. They have single and double versions and they have shocks! You'll love it. Very pricey, but worth every penny.
I have a Jeep, but it's kinda heavy for long distances. Try re-aligning the wheels of your current one if it veers to the right. Take it to a bike shop if you don't know how to do it. Might save you some money until you figure out a new one.
My friends are marathon runners and tri-athletes. They have the Charriot and love it. They run a lot of miles each week and the charriot has been great for them. We also have the Carriot and love it too. It is easy to remove the wheels and fold. I strongly advise the double, that is what my friend and I both have. It is easier to turn and has more room plus if you have a second child like we did you do not have to go and get another jogging stroller. Also the double is not that much more then the single. Hope this helps!
Hi B., I have a Bob jogging stroller and it rocks!
I'm trying to train for Twin Cities this year and have been
logging in a ton of miles with it. Its a very sturdy, comfortable stroller and my son seems to enjoy himself in it (I think :) I thought it was expensive when we got it but if you ask me, in the long run (no pun intended), it will pay for itself.
Cheers!
