J.C.
I work FT so it's not what I have done today (all work related and a bit of online shopping and a whole lot of Mamapedia). But my real job will start at 5pm for my commute and the rest of my night until bed.....
I'm just curious how others on here spend their days :)
So far today I have:
Got up about 5:15 to answer the door. Laid in bed awake and prayed. Came out and checked my mail and spent about 1/2 hour listening to a bible teaching online.
Then I took a shower, found something to eat, swept the house, watered the lawn, took the dog out, greeted some kids and changed a diaper and helped get the kids breakfast and wash them.
Then I went to the store, came home and put it away, made a big pot of soup while watching over the kids that were playing. Picked up after my lunch mess, fed the kids, put them down for a nap.
Since nap time I have had a couple of snacks I could have done without, messed around on here, set gates up for a 1 year old that's not sleeping and let a child in for the day. He's playing and I took the 1 year old to my mothers room in an attempt to let my grandson and another boy finish napping.
I moved the refrigerator and cleaned that gunky stuff out from under it. I couldn't believe the massive wad of hair rubber bands that were under there. My darn CAT! I think she's been batting them under there. They were covered with all kinds of dirt, dust, spilled water, so I put them in the trash. I killed a nasty spider from under there.
Then I looked all over in several drawers and various places for an adapter that goes on headphones for an electric keyboard we have. I finally found that and here I am with my feet up again. :)
What have you been up to today?
OMG...that's so funny!!! I haven't shaved my legs since sometime earlier this year. I don't even remember LOL.
I work FT so it's not what I have done today (all work related and a bit of online shopping and a whole lot of Mamapedia). But my real job will start at 5pm for my commute and the rest of my night until bed.....
Cleaned the kitchen, swam a mile, got my teeth filled, shaved my legs for the first time in a month.
Woke up at 4:00am.
Went back to sleep, after tinkering with some things on my desk.
Woke up at 6:00am.
Did desk work, showered, made coffee, washed dishes, prepped some things for dinner, made breakfast for kids and myself. Hubby makes his own.
Fed pets.
Watered plants
Made piles of laundry to do.
Did one load of laundry.
Made my to-do list
Took daughter to school
Ran errands
Paid bills
It is still morning here... not even 10:00am yet.
I did all of those things, by 9:00am.
It's too hot to do anything. It will be 109 today. I can't cook. I can't do laundry (use the dryer). I keep my A/C at 85 during the day (I have room darkening shades and fans going - the house is comfy but not cold), so cleaning house is not option either. We are still in our pj's watching a marathon of Dr. Who's.
Absolutely nothing. I haven't even taken a shower, yet. I'm on my front porch in my PJs, with my feet on the railing, drinking a coke in the sunshine.
Later I'm making crevettes de grecques ala rigatoni, with a killer home made tomato basil garlic white wine pasta sauce (tomatoes were on sale for 10% OF the normal price -of, not off-, I bought 15lbs). I'm going to take some up to Children's Hospital for some friends, and we'll eat really good pasta with a cold glass of white wine.
Woke up at 6am (stupid garbage men!), started the coffee, set out breakfast, started working, fed kids.
Took the girls to vacation bible school by 9am.
Went home, worked, played with the baby.
Stopped by the gas station, almost stabbed my tattoo guy because I'm a spaz (he snuck up behind me!), got fuel.
Picked kids up at noon.
Fed the children.
Worked, screwed around on HERE, made a few phone calls, put baby down for a nap.
Took a shower, back on here, getting ready to re-heat an early dinner because my husband's incapable of feeding anyone but himself, then going to my tattoo appointment and profusely apologizing to my tattoo artist, LOL!!
Dragged my booty out of bed 10 minutes late, got ready, have been caring for 5 children age 3 and under, as its been raining again today (no outside time...ugh). Also did 3 loads of towels (the teenage basement-dwelling troll I call my daughter has been hoarding them...2 large loads worth...plus one of dishrags and bibs). Now I am surfing the net, while they little ones all sleep (cuz I am a ROCKSTAR and they all sleep peacefully for hours in the afternoon!), and my sub will arrive in 20 minutes so I can go to 2..yes I said 2 stupid dental appointments (consults really but I hope it stays that way...poking and prodding and putting cold things in there to investigate the pain and sensitivity...ugh, I am already afraid).
Then I get to go shopping to spend all my Kohls Dollars hubby got when he bought my Kitchen Aid mixer last week! Lets see what I can get for my $70 (plus a little I have stashed! LOL)....
Then back home with take out for the family and to do my day 9 of the "30 day Shred" workout....
Its a good day to be me! (all but the waking up late thing)
woke up, showered, went to work. Went home for lunch, stopped to pick up chicken to take to the husband and kids, got gas, got home, landlord is there working on my AC. Helped him a bit, then back to work. When I get off it will be stop at the grocery store. Make dinner, do a load of laundry, upload some pictures onto Facebook I've been promising family to do, then I will give kids a bath, brush teeth, read a book and put them to bed. Maybe a little Jon Stewart before I fall asleep. Or maybe I will say screw it and we will all go bowling. :)
Heard the alarm, my 17-month-old at 7:15 a.m.
"Shut off" the alarm by feeding and playing with her.
8 a.m. took her jogging--well I jogged, she came for the ride.
9:30 a.m. dropped hubby off to pick up car from repair shop.
10 a.m. dropped daughter off to gramma's
At work by 10:30 a.m., half an hour late, sacrificed lunch for being late.
Meetings at work, aggravation at work.
Logging on here for support :-)
Got up late, got mikey to school late, got to work late ! Story of my life :-)
Had blood taken to see about my cholesterol Etc -the "works" from my Dr's appointment the other week. Got some work done here at work, played on Mamapedia some...... I'm such a Slacker compared to you ! LOL
Paid schools fees online.
Ordered Back to school clothes online for kindergartner.
Ordered uniforms online.
Played outside with 4 youngest, realized it was 500 degrees out.
Made BLT's holding a 15 month old in left arm. (microwave bacon).
Got the baby to nap.
Cleaned my bathroom, 4 year old charged in room waking baby.
Started 2 loads of laundry.
About to clean up massive playdoh mess and lunch mess.
Woke at 6:30 and fed my 15 month old and ate breakfast myself! Let the dog out and then got a text message that my brother was coming to visit for the day (from college!) So, quick run to the grocery store with my little man and also to Target to get new bedding I have had my eye on. Rushed home and greeted my brother. Snack time for the little one and then went to the local splash pad for some water fun because it is HOT today. This completely exhausted him (okay, and me) and he promptly ate lunch and napped as soon as we got home. He's still sleeping now, as is my brother on the couch in the living room :/ Guess he's a little worn out and not used to chasing around a toddler!
Showered, fed/dressed the kids, drove our 3 foster kids to their various visitation spots, came home and read/studied a chapter in Proverbs, spent some time with my son, washed/folded laundry, back to pick up 2 kids, home to fix seasoned chicken for lunch so my husband has something for dinner tonight, lunch for the kids, mampedia. And its 12:15. Still to do today, pick up 1 more kiddo from visitation, naps for the kids, wash/fold more laundry, do online school work, snacks then dinner for the kids, soccer game for my son, bedtime for the kids, more online school work for me. Maybe I'll schedule shaving my legs for another day...or year. :) I'm also very thankful for my husband who is home during the day and will do the dishes and spend time with kids while I am playing taxi driver.
We just got home from day two at the amusement Park.
We are hot, tired and sun-burnt! and I would have it any other way!
We Tonight we are heading out to Tacoma, for the Unity in the Community Event....Free food, raffles, bounce houses......Run them ragged...and hopefully it will be early to bed!
Summer has had a hard time trying to start this year....The Great NorthWest is living up to the rainy description people expect.
We are suppose to be above 70 now for the next ten days!!! This is exciting!!!
Got up, snuggled with my youngest, showered, breakfast, family worship time (we are going through Romans), ran to the post office, took one of my sons with me to the gym for 2 hours of working out, showered again, grocery shopping, a couple of other stops, catch up on email (work in progress), and now on mamapedia. But, need to get off and finish laundry, dinner prep, tidying up the house a bit (mostly already done, just a couple of things need done), etc. Always in motion...
OMG! We went to CA for 4 days and yesterday and today have been busy with unpacking, laundry, cleaning and working. Today I mostly have been getting caught up with emails and quoting a few people for insurance and I already issued a couple policies. Now Im getting ready to head out to pick up a prescription for my son at the doc since they can't call it in to the pharmacy. I'm going to see if my sons friend can play with him since he hasn't seen him all summer and also drop off my daughter at her friends that she hasn't seen. Then I'm going to come back home, do a few more things for work and put away some things in the kitchen and some laundry and wait til hubs gets home. Normally I'm not this busy as I can keep up with everything but 4 days away from home has put me behind! =)
I rearranged my bedroom and my daughters bedroom (she wont sleep in) and about half way through I thought to hell with this! You will be happy to know I finished and it looks and feels better! Hope everyone had a great day!
