I want to make it easy on my husband this year and just tell him what I want for Mother's Day. The problem is, I can't decide! Here are some ideas so far, but I want to know what all of you mamas would like. I need some more ideas!
Some Ideas: Breakfast in bed, romantic 3 course dinner at home by candlelight, an afternoon at the spa while a professional cleaning service cleans our home.
For every holiday be it christmas, valentine day, mother day, my birthday...I always tell my hubby that I want jewelry. lol. But I want a deep fryer this year. Thats how you know that you are getting old when you start asking for appliances as gifts. lol

Ummm I want an official "Not The Mamma Day" but I will not be able to cash it in on Mother's Day - we do a big brunch thing with the in laws and such.
Not The Mamma Day is just that - I am NOT home, I get a hotel room, and go away for a night - have fun with my girls OR by myself it matters not b/c I am "Not The Mamma." The only reason for being called is in case of emergency ;)

I've told my daughters what I want already (they are 14 and 23). I want them to run a 5K with me on that Saturday, and then on Sunday we'll probably go to my younger daughter's birth mom's house for lunch to celebrate with her. Usually we go to the zoo but that's not in the plans this year.
What I really want is for all the moms on here to not whine about what they will or won't, or did or didn't get for mother's day from their husband/kids/etc. Makes me crazy.

I hope to have time with my mom, my daughter, my son and grandson. A nice meal together on a sunny afternoon would be great.

I just appreciate being with my hubby and daughter, no expectations if gifts.
We have a tradition of going to the Mothers Day Brunch at our country club which is known for the best brunch of the year.
We love it, great service, great food and spending time with friends.
I don't need a gift, I just like our traditional brunch!

I want my husband to enrol in retraining so that our future is more secure. I don't know what else. My mind is fully occupied with being pissed with my no good, loafing excuse of a husband at the moment.

I want to spend the day playing with my children and not doing ANY housework. I turn 40 on Mother's day this year, so I am requesting my favorite dinner.
But honestly, I just want to not have to do any laundry or dishes!

The spa while getting your house cleaned sounds great, also expensive. I'm not sure as I haven't given it any thought yet. But I'd be more than happy to have him help me with getting some major projects done once and for all around here.
What about doing something you two have never done before, maybe something you've talked about or thought about but just never got around to doing. A certain place to go or activity.
Is there something he's been promising to do but never does it? If so maybe he can do for that day along with some little gift.
I really enjoy rich perfume something delicate yet rich, I think I may ask for that.
Just some thoughts
Have a Happy One!

I just want to sleep late. I think last year we went to the zoo. My husband and son usually get me games for my computer or games for Wii - which I love. This year I'll probably ask for the new George Harrison Documentary on DVD or some books on CD so I can listen in the car. Now I have to figure out what to get my mom!

We're going camping! But we have an RV so not too much extra work for me :) And then probably the norm - kids will make me sweet cards that make me tear up! Hubs will get me a nice card and flowers and he will cook dinner. That's all I need!

My husband just bought me a new car. I'd feel guilty asking for anything else on that day!
But for you, what about a Pandora bracelet? The kids could start a tradition of selecting a bead for you every year. Kind of like a scrapbook that you wear every day!
Whatever they get for you, I'm sure you will love it. It's awesome being a mom, isn't it? :)

As a stay at home mom, I felt Mother's Day should be celebrated with a day off!
One of my favorite memories ever was my BFF and I going camping one year for Mother's Day weekend. No husbands, children, dishes, or housework! We had a wonderful weekend of friendship strengthening, memory making, lots of laughter, and the irony was......in the campground we ended up surrounded by husbands with children who were giving their wives the weekend off!

If I got a "day off" I would be so bored! I love spending time with my son although having my husband take him to the park for an hour or two would be great. Usually, I like flowers that my son and husband pick out but this year I am asking for a purse. I really need one for Spring/Summer. I am going to pick it out though!

Like Jill, my mom always asked my dad, brother and I to plant flowers for her...usually impatiens. So, now I ask my husband to do the same. (Actually, my kids are 5 & 3, so I ask him to watch the kids while I do it. That way the flowers actually survive the planting.)

A motorcycle jacket. LOL He bought me a helmet for my birthday, so I figure that's next. I ride on his motorcycle when we go on dates. We ditch the family mobile and it's all about just the two of us again.
My husband is not romantic. That doesn't mean he can't be, but he's lazy. I've had gloriously romantic boyfriends, but my husband really is a fabulous balance of everything I need in my life and an ever better father, so I'm happy.
He usually let's me sleep in til 8am - LOL. Then we go to breakfast an open cards the kids hand-made. We all spend the day together.

Haven't even thought of it. In March, my BFF and I spent the day together scrapping and having lunch and dinner. That was soooo nice. It was the mini-break I needed.
A traditional thing I've always gotten is a flat of flowers to plant. That's what we did for my mom every year, too. Mom died 8 years ago, so it's something that reminds me of her. I then get the help from the family to plant them, and this year the weather should just be perfect.
