JFF - Spying on My Baby with the Baby Monitor

My 16 month old son is cracking me up right now, as he has been in his bed for 1 hr 15 minutes, and is still talking to himself. I'm just watching him on the monitor while he does and says funny things.

For a few minutes he was jumping, while yelling "Jump, jump, jump..."
Then he was singing his lullaby to himself
For a while he kept saying his brothers' names, not as in, come get me, but I think just to practice them.
Now he's fake sneezing... "Ahhh-chooo....hahahaha...Ahhhh-chooo!"
And now he's laying on his back, trying to pick up his stuffed animal with his feet.

What have you caught your kids doing while spying on them with the monitor?

Did I mention how much I love video monitors?

What can I do next?

I have twin boys that share a room. I've gotten a lot of laughs watching them on the monitor. I've even recorded them at times on a video camera to save for later.

One funny experience was when we were staying at my sister's house at Christmas time and most of the immediate family was there. We had put the kids into their pack-n-plays to try to take a nap. They were not going down for a nap and one of them was attempting to climb out of the pack-n-play. The other one couldn't do it and it looked like the first was trying to show him how. So we sent my nephew up to the door and had him say, "This is Santa. Go to sleep!". The rest of us were downstairs laughing hysterically when we saw both of them jump and then quickly lay down.

I never had a baby monitor but sometimes it would have been nice to have one. My oldest now 37, at about 18 months old would undress down to her diaper and undershirt and then go to sleep. Off came blanket sleeper, jammies ( the ones that snap at the waist) and then she would go to sleep on top of the blankets. My ex and I tried to re-dress her once in her sleep and he said this is like trying to put over cooked spaghetti through a keyhole.

I am in love with my video monitor as well! I keep telling my husband I'm keeping it until my daughter is a teenager! :) Today at naptime my 22 month old was literally running laps in her crib. Apparently she didn't think it was naptime :).

I can hear my son upstairs thru the vents downstairs in the bathroom ... at night he is so funny because he sings to his pillow pets (4) and large/small bears after story time. It is cute because he also calms them down and basically mimmics me at bed time or other times.

Cute :)

I don't have a baby monitor at all, but sometimes I silently stand at the door to my daughter's room and watch while she talks to her soft toys, and teaches them words and rhymes that I would have taught to her earlier. :)
