Jeweler in Frisco

I recently had a baby, and alas...my wedding rings no longer fit! It has been 4 weeks since I had the baby, and I only have 10 lbs left to loose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I seriously think my bones/knuckles grew as my hands are not swollen at all. (I had to take my rings off during the last month of pregnancy due to slight swelling). Does anyone know of a good jeweler in the Frisco area that can size my rings up? I am considering having the settings and style of the rings changed also...possibly combining with another ring I have. Is this possible or expensive to do?

What can I do next?

I would wait a little longer. I have a 9 month old and it was only a couple of months ago that mine started fitting again and I had lost all of my weight.

Don't resize your rings just yet. My fingers did the same thing. It took me three or four months to get back in my rings, and I had even lost more weight then when I was first pregnant due to nursing!!!

First of all, you need to give it much longer than 4 weeks. I remember stressing about that same thing to members of my moms group with older babies and they all told me to have patience because it takes months to get back to normal. Honestly, it took me about 6 months for all my body parts to get back to normal, and for whatever reason my fingers were one of the last! I felt the same way about it being my knuckles rather than swelling. My rings all fit just fine now.

I hope that helps. I don't know of a jeweler in Frisco, but yes it is possible to resize your rings if you choose to do so. Price depends on the style of ring.

I would wait a little longer, but if you still want to either have your rings sized or changed, I would go to Jared. I'm not sure where there is one in Frisco, but I used to work at another location and I highly recommend them (and did before I worked there as well as now).

I highly recommend Village Jewelers. They are honest (this is a family business), and very knowledgeable. If you explain your concerns, I think they will tell you what is best regarding your concerns about sizing your rings.

Good luck!

They are FANTASTIC. They did a beautiful job on my rings, are super friendly, and do the work in the time they estimate. They are not pushy at all, and made the whole experience wonderful!

I gotta agree with some of the other moms...wait a little longer. Unless resetting your rings was something you were going to do anyway, don't do something that drastic so soon. 4 weeks is way to soon to be expecting your body...including your fingers...to be back to normal.

I highly recommend George Hazlehurst. He own and his wife own Znasckos, designers & manufacturers of fine jewelry. They are based out of Las Colinas and do a great job. He is a broker so you can get great prices on jewelry. His number is ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. Good Luck.
