I really love Cato jeans. I like their fit and you can always find something on sale. They usually last me a few years and for $15-30 a pair, you can get a bunch!
Lane Bryant jeans have let me down. Four years ago I bought several pairs of the right fit jeans and they lasted a few years. With kids and crawling around with babies that's all I can hope for. I bought some new ones earlier this summer and they've gotten holes in the crotch area and knees already AND one pair just split right above my thigh toward the zipper!!!
I'm not huge or anything but I'm big. Does anyone have any suggestions about jeans you love...that preferably won't break the bank.
Thanks!

I recently tried to find jeans in several stores. I am plus sized and wonder why the designers seem to think all plus sized ladies are 10 feet tall. Anyway, after buying some at Target, Walmart and Khol's, I found the best to be a pair of Lee Jeans I got at Khol's. They are a classic fit, sit at the waist with a straight leg. I hate the Target and Walmart ones that sit below my belly and have boot cut legs.
Good luck, a good pair of jeans is hard to find.
Gloria Vanderbuilt "Amanda" jeans at Kohls. Love them!
I love Maurices jeans. They have plus sizes, I am wear them. I pay more to buy the "thicker" jeans without the stretch material added. I've found the stretch materail gives and gives to the point that I was at work two weeks ago and the butt ripped right out of them. (They were three years old and fixed several times in the upper thigh).
I will no longer buy the stretch material type again. while they are a little more comfy they are not worth the money. Good Luck.
Also APT brand at Kohls are working for me as well. and run about $35.00, they were on sale for $22.99 last week.
The last Lane Bryant jeans I had that I liked were about 5 years ago. I've gotten some decent ones from Avenue and the Gloria Vanderbilt ones from Kohls. One Stop Plus is a web site that combines several plus size catalogs. Woman Within used to be the Lane Bryant catalog and they split companies a couple of years ago. Catalogs can be a pain (sending back what doesn't fit) but sometimes it is the best option if you can't find what you want in the store. Also I have been know to creatively patch jeans I really love--especially if they fit well. Basically I use an iron on denim patch on the inside and iron on interfacing with a colorful fabric on the front.
DKNY has some very good plus size jeans. I get mine at Macy's.
Lane Bryant's quality has gotten very poor. I have purchased 3 different items in the past year that have gotten holes (inexplicably). My TARGET clothes last longer than the LB stuff!
Levi's has some good stretchy jeans out now. I got me a pair a couple of weeks ago and I love em. They look like 501's but are comfortable.
I agree with two of the responses. Maurices and Cato's. Both carry jeans that are comfortable and at a decent price. I have never had ANY jeans last longer than a year or two. They always blow out in the inner thigh.
I get the jeans on sale so I rarely pay more than $20 per pair.
Good luck!

Torrid!!! I LOVE their jeans. They cost anywhere between 45 and 65 dollars but they are worth it. I have about three pair that I have had about 3 years and they still look brand new. Check out their website.
Hope this helps!!
Can you take one more post? I order my jeans from Woman Within and love them! You can get the drawstring style or the regular styles.
I love my Ralph Lauren jeans. (yes, they do make plus size) I found them at Macy's. They didn't fit perfectly but they were comfy and well worth the money. I then took them to a good tailor for some adjustments and now I could LIVE in those jeans 24/7.
I can't answer too much to which is the best but I get most of my jeans at thrift stores...they now have a lot of new things (tags still on) because they buy a lot more close out stuff at those stores these days. I've never been a huge fan of LB stuff but if it's only about 5 bucks a pop I'll wear it! But actually, if you just want to try out some brands? That's a good way to do it too, I've found brands that I never would have purchased full price that I really enjoy! Happy shopping!
LB quality has just gone doooooooooown hill. I remember when they contracted with 7!!! No longer. Now I think they contract with Kmart.
My sis's jeans from Torrid last forever, and are super super cute ((I can't wear them because I have a 37" inseam)). .

Ha @ Angela! Right after my son was born I had sooooo many clothing options. but for some reason clothing manufacturers seem to think you get SHORTER when you lose weight. Um. NO!!!! Smaller *width* not *height*! Stupid designers
I like walmart Just My size. They seem to last longer than most. And on occasion I have found some at Sheplers on sale for $15, that are awesome.
I was having the exact same problem but found that even plus size jeans at most places just didn't fit right. That is, until I found Lee stretch jeans at Kohl's. I'm telling you, these things are so comfortable and I wear them constantly. I haven't had a pair wear out on me yet. I get the boot cut, petite and they are usually a little snug at first, but after a few minutes they are perfect. Word of warning, not all Kohl's seem to have a good stock of these. Sometimes I have to visit a couple of different times to find them.
How about the blue jean bar? 20% off one pair with 4 cans of food.
Just interested in the responses.
