we are having another baby boy! Just found out. We are at a loss for names and had an aweful time naming the first two.
My daughter (3) is Madeline H., and my son (1) is Milton August. This may be our last so.....should I continue with an "M" name, or break out a new letter. What are some cute M names for a boy or any other suggestions.
i like Makai. Milo goes with Milton i think. And I like Maddox like the other person. I also like Brody. and in response to the woman who said that her sister calls her kids by the wrong names. my mom did that and we weren't named with the same letter, and i have a boy and girl and i call them by the wrong name all the time.

I LOVE the name Morgan for a boy! The only reason I have not named either of my son's this name is, because it's the only name I like for a girl and would hate to have used it on a boy and then be stuck on a girls name if we have a daughter.
here are some other boy names I love:
Aedan
Brodan
Brody
Tristan
Raef
Blane
Michael
Good luck, this is the fun but tricky part of being pregnant!! :)

I can't wait to have babies myself (I'm getting married next summer). By the way, Madeline is one of my favorite names for a girl!! My current #1 favorite name for a girl baby also begins with an M- Malin (pronouced Ma-Lynn, it's Swedish). But I digress...
I have a few suggestions for boy names that begin with M, but, if you should decide to go with another letter for your new son's first name, I've got a few other ideas for you as well.
First my M name suggestions: Miles, Mateo (pronounced Matt-a-o, it's Italian) Murphy, or Milo.
I also like Aiden, Jarrett, Gavin, Benjamin, Nathan and Dylan as non-M starting names.
Have fun choosing!
Best,
S.

I like the name Mason James and you don't hear it very often. But you could break away from the M theme and give the baby a name that doesn't start with M. There are so many names to choose from it should be easy to find the perfect name. Just remember to name the baby a name that your husband would want. I was told to never name a baby a name that I wouldn't want for myself or that their Dad woudn't want to have. That is a great starting point.

oh Mason and Morgan are excellent names as well...if you are planning to stick with the 'M'. However, my cousin has for girls and there names all start with the letter R...It gets so confusing to the fact the kids are now telling there mom that she called them the wrong child. I sometimes just shake my head...
Good luck.

But, if you do, some popular/cute M names...
Max
Michael
Matthew
Mark
Names with other letters that I like:
Nicholas
Alex
James
Andrew (Andy)
One thing to consider is how the first name sounds with your last name. Are you giving the new baby a STRONG sounding name? or one that is a real tongue-twister?? Does it flow...
Say the child's full name out loud a few times and imagine him saying it, as a child and as an adult...What impression do you get of that person???
The "M" thing is ok if that is what you like...but I doubt very much a child will feel "left out" if their name doesn't start with an M ~ Since your name doesn't start with an "m" ~ (and I am guessing your husband's doesn't either) Some kids LIKE to be different than their brothers and sisters.
And I agree with what one other person said, when you make your final decision, DON'T tell anyone until the baby is born and named. Everyone has an opinion and quite frankly it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks as long as you and your husband like it (and can live with it) ~
Best of luck and congrats!

I think since you gave the first two child an "M" name I think you should stick with it for the third child. I think for a boy some good "M" names are Mason, Marshall, Matthew(I like it better than the shortened version Matt) and Marcus.

Break from the M's. Just bc you named the first 2 with M's doesn't mean you need to name the 3rd one with an M. There are so many awesome names out there for boys and you did great with the other names. What matters is what you and your husband like.

If my daughter would have been a boy, she would have been Noah. My kids are Alicia, Christopher and Erin. There is a meaning behind all my kids' names, which to me trumped using same first letters.
The names you chose for your first 2 aren't as common, so the only thing I would recommend is to stick with a lesser used name for the 3rd. Madeline, Milton and Mike (for example) somehow don't mix well together. (Makes Mike sound so plain!)

its ok not to do the M thing.
What we do is pick out our favorite names (no more than five or six) and wait until the baby is born then decide for sure. that way you dont have to deal with peoples criticisms as much! i like to be able to say, "Sorry mom, its already on the birth certificate!"

I have two boys, Elijah and Sebastian. I don't think you need to continue with the "M" thing....unless of course, you want to!
Other names I really liked (and like, because I am in my 13th week,so we don't know what we are having yet!)
-Benjamin (I LOVE that name)
-Issac
-Ezekiel
-Juaquin (sounds like "walking")
-David
Good Luck, one little piece of advice that someone gave me....we'll see if I follow....don't tell anyone what name you are going to pick out. Too many people will have an opinion on it, most of them bad memories about someone they knew with that name! Enjoy the name you pick!

I struggled with this same question while I was pregnant with my 3rd as well. I named the first two with a Ka sound, so when the 3rd was coming, I wanted to change it but didn't want the new baby to feel out of the loop. So, I went ahead and named her with a C. Then, I was recently pregnant with my 4th, and decided that she would feel left out if I didn't name her the same as them. All of them are Kevin, Cailyn, Courtney, and now Kaylee. But, I wish I would have changed the letter or sound on the 3rd one. There is just a huge amount of cute names out there, without being restricted to a letter or sound. But, I do think their names are perfect with each child, so really, I am not bothered by it. But when you find other names that are great, I wish I didn't start the sound thing. :)

My sisters and I all have the same first letter of the name. All S's. It turned out fine.
My sons name is Maximus Richard. We call him Max. He is named after his grandfather Richard who passed away a year before he was born. Maximus means "greatest" and Richard means "king". So to us he is the greatest "richard" or greatest king. He looks so much like his grandfather when he was a child. So, it fits! Good Luck!! And Congrats!
