ISO Help Making a Paper Towel Decision

Our 'pre-school' uses regular bathroom towels in their home (home setting). That means everyone uses the towels and they get pretty icky. They cannot afford to go disposable so I've offered to help in that area.

Not sure if the most economic route is going to Costco for the giant packages of about 8 or 15 rolls or if I should go to an office supply store for a dispenser and the individual paper towell route.

Anyone do this for a small office or similar?

Paper is so much better. I go to Sams and get 4 huge rolls and the dispenser is free, you pay the shipping only. In my classroom (childbirth etc for expecting parents) we have on average 15-25 couples here every week for varying classes and use a 4 pack about every 6 weeks or so.
Hope this helps,
K.

Another option is to buy a qty of bandanas for single use and then wash them as you would your hand towels. You may want to buy a couple of nice baskets, one to put rolled up clean towels in and one to put next to the sink for used towels. This is a great alternative because it is sanitary and also saves trees/landfill space.

Im not sure about the specifics of your situation, but if your in-home preschool is providing care for more than 3 children (unrelated to them)they are required to be registered and regulated by the state. The state standards require that disposable paper towels be provided or each child must have his own labled hand towel. Towels should not be shared by the children.

I'm a registered child-care provider in Flower Mound. I buy pre-folded disposable towels by the case at Sam's and Staples.

Is this a registered or licensed home? We are required by the state of Texas to have paper towels in the bathroom.
