Is This an Evaporation Line?

How long did you wait? If you wait to long faint line will show even if not prego. I would wait a couple of days and redo the test to get a solid answer.

That's EXACTLY what my first one looked like (a week prior to my period being due), and I'm 8 weeks pregnant!! I took a digital one a few days later and got a positive. One website that helped me was peeonastick.com. It gives you tests to compare it to. Congrats, mama!!

That depends on how long you waited to read. I had one that was negative at the time stated, but the next day (left it on the counter) it had a line just like yours. I wasn't pregnant, it was the evaporation line.

I would suggest, as others did, to try again in the morning with concentrated urine. Since it seems you want to be, I will be praying and hoping for you!!!!!

Did it appear right away? I think an evaporation line occurs over time, like if you don't see a line and throw it away... and then a few hours later see a line...

I agree, try again tomorrow. Pee on the stick very first thing when you wake up, the pregnancy hormone is 'stronger' then. (I don't know how it works... but that's what my OBGYN told me when I was prego...) I couldn't even see the other line in the pic though...

I will say, that I have had friends take a prego test, and it had a very light 2nd line, with no pregnancy. I have also seen it go the other way... so keep your hopes up, but don't get too excited...

It's very faint. I would wait until after your period is due, then take another. You'll have more accurate readings then, and won't be guessing so much.

It's very faint, but I see it too. I'd wait and test again. I have NO patience with things like this btw lol. You could test every morning to see if the line gets darker, or just wait till the day your period is due.

It's not true that there can not be a false positive. There are cancers that cause positive tests. That's rare thankfully.

I disagree, I think that you are pregnant. That's what mine looked like that early!

No, I think it is a positive pregnancy test. Btw way I have done hundreds of pregnancy tests in my job and there is no such thing as a 'false positive" test. The test can only be positive if the hormone Beta-HCG is present.

What exactly is an 'evaporation line', anyway, in this case? I usually wait about 3 minutes on a test like this, and the answer has always been correct. If you leave it out, the line might go away. I didn't see any second line, and every time I was pregnant, that second line showed bright and clear.

I can see a faint something. Try again in 2 days. Also, the trick I used was to pee into a paper cup, then dip the test. That way you control what gets where.
