I have a friend who has 8 children, only two were vaginal deliveries (twins in the middle) and she has done fine.
how many c-sections can a woman have without complications?

yay T.!! So nice to see someone else with a desire for a large family!! how refreshing...people think I'm crazy, but I say "what if your grandparents just said no? we wouldn't be here!!" haha
I have had eight c-sections. The last one was previa. I have had no terrible health issues and would do it 10 more times if I could. My husband calls me a kangaroo. :)
God Bless You and all the best!!
Dear T. -
I have had two C-Sections. I was content with having this procedure. But the only complications is the healing of the scar areas. Multiple C-sections is definitely a topic to discuss with your Doctor. If you aren't sure about his/her opinion, then check with another one. And also a good topic to discuss with your husband or significant other. All in all these little ones are blessings. Good luck.

Well T. I am a mother of four and all mine were c-sections as well had it not been for the fact that I was done after the fourth one the dr. said that I could have had more if I wanted to it really all depends on your heath and all. The only think you need to be carefull of is the scare tissue around the incition it biulds up and then that is where you care have problems. Some obs will take care of it during a c-section they will remove any extra scare tissue so it wont casue a problem. So this is somthing that I would talk to you ob about but I say as long as you are heathy and strong that you can and will do just fine with more c-sections.
Hi T.-
I have had two successful c-sections. No problems! The scar gets thicker but, other than that I think the second one was easier. My DR told me no more than 3 c-sections.
Good Luck-H.
My cousin has had 5 successful c-sections.
I have had 2 C-sections. After my second I wanted to have more and I spoke to the dr. about it. The dr. told me that I could have as many as I wanted so long as I gave my body time to heal. Although with everyone you have a greater risk because of the scar tissue that builds up. But if you give your body time to heal (at least 1 year if not more), and you have a really good OBGYN then you shouldn't have too much problem with having more children.
I watched this show on TLC and this one woman has like 14 or 16 kids or something like that and they were all c-sections. I think that there were a couple of twins in there.
P.S.
I have only one baby but she was a c-section. And IF I ever have another it will be a c-section and next time it will be by choice unlike this one.
I have an aunt who had four C-sections. Her youngest is now 18 years old, so they were a while back. She had no complications, but the doctor did tell her after the fourth to not have anymore children. I would think a lot of it would have to do with your health, also.
Hope that helps.

I believe that everyone is different and that this is something only you and your doctor can determine.
Check out www.ican.com for lost of great info. I personally know of many women who have had 8, or even 11 c-sections. Be sure to eat healthy!!!!
I've only had 2 C-sections and that was enough for me as I always had some complication once they cut me! I personaly know 2 women who have both had 5 sections each. Both were in fairly good health and both did VERY well with their 5 sections . I don't know anyone else who has had more than 5 though so I could not comment any further.
