Hi All,

We already have Netfix streaming thru our XBOX and was wondering if HULU was worth it? We are thinking about canceling our cable and replacing it with HULU? I know nothing about it! Is it expensive? Does it offer LOTS of TV shows?

If you have it, do you love it?

Thanks Guys!

What can I do next?

Hulu is free... just pop over to their website and start streaming/trying it out right now :)

HuluPlus has a free 2 week trial, and then is about $10 a month if you decide to keep it. Plus lets you watch through your xBox and you get the whole season (otw, you only get the latest 5 episodes). Again, since it's free to try it, why not?

The major differences between Hulu & Netflix is that Hulu & Hulu+ both have commercials, and Hulu/Hulu+ streams shows 24 hours after air (or 7 days after air, depending on the show) so you don't have to wait for the season to end.

IMHO? Absolutely. That's what we do: Hulu & Netflix.

We cancelled our cable 3 weeks ago when we moved. I thought our world would end...but nope, we have decided not to reconnect it. I haven't missed one thing, much to my surprise. Most of the shows I can't get on Hulu/Hulu+, I can get off of the networks website. I tried Hulu+ with the free trial and then subscribed to the $10/month because we love it. With Netflix and Hulu+ we are paying $20/month. That beats the couple of shows we are missing. I REALLY thought not having cable would affect my life negatively(sad but true), but to my shock and amazement, it hasn't.

I like hulu, but I only do the free part where you can see the 5 most recently aired episodes of a show. However, not all channels do this (for example, when $#!@ my dad says was on, I missed an episode and was unable to watch it online). However, I need my BBCAmerica like I need air, so I wont be getting rid of cable soon.

Hulu is awesome, however, in that it allows me to watch Young Hercules, which is not on DVD so I have no other way to watch it.

Well we have not done it yet, but are seriously thinking of it! My DH likes his Digital, High Definition cable which we are paying for out the nose! Like $150+ a month! I don't know/understand all the details, but he has researched it and feels like it would be a good move for us AND save us lots of dollars! The only drawback, is that I watch a lot of Food Channel and apparently can not get on Hulu.

If you want it on your TV, look into Hulu Plus. It costs $7 a month for a ton of shows. We do Netflix as well. We have no cable. We do like having both (netflix and hulu plus)! :-)

I have a question that i am posting on top of your question, so I hope someone reads this. IS THERE PARENTAL CONTROLS ON HULU, HULU +, NETFLIX, ROKU (did I miss any)?

We cancelled cable in March & haven't missed it at all, but we are not a tv family. I love my cable Fox News so now I podcast it & love it

No way would I replace cable with HULU. I need my HBO, Cinemax and all of the cable stations.

We do not have an xbox so we use it for the replay of shows (not everything is available) and the Netflix..

It depends on what you like to watch on cable. We also watch ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, FOX.. And these stations need the cable to bring them in clearly here in Ausitn,.

So we use HULU as another way to watch movies and to catch some obscure things, vintage shows and replays of some of the current shows.
