Is Anyone a Thirty One Consultant?

Hi, I am thinking about becoming one. I do not plan to make big bucks at this, not into pressuring anyone into buying things or having parties, but I think the products are really cool, and would love, mainly to get a discount on things, and if I make money off of it, great!
I was reading into it, but I guess my main question is, do consultants get a discount on the products? Most of my family and friends love the stuff and I was thinking, cheap gifts for everyone! ;)

Any other thoughts or info on being a consultant is much appreciated! Thanks!

So What Happened?

From what I have read, I dont *think* there is a minimum, but it is $100 for your start kit, which I could probably make back having my own party at my house.

I did Southern Living at Home for a couple of years and got what I wanted for my house then got out. I never made money, because I often would get to use the hostess half-price discounts and get myself things. You get your commission as discount too, basically. So if you get 20% commission, you get 20% off of the items, and just don't make any money.

Most places have a minimum sale required to stay active. SLAH did not, which is what made it great. I was able to sell $300 per year EASY and that was it.

I don't even know what it is. lol Make sure you don't have to meet a minimum requirement, sometimes that becomes stressful for these MLM's. Good luck!

I don't know where they divide everything up but around here they weren't accepting any more consultants. A friend of mine had to wait a year for someone to quit before they could become one.

On one hand great because at least you know they are controlling the market on the other, you may have to wait.

At least for me one of the most frustrating part of some of those home party businesses is in any group there are 20 of you selling.

I am. I am in it for the very same reasons...I don't make a huge amount of money, I typically only place orders when friends and family want to order stuff. I'll PM you my number. Probably easier to talk through your questions.

Never heard of it. Just be sure you read all the fine print. MLM's are very tricky on purpose.

I hope you have success if you do it.
