I was pregnant in March of this year and miscarried. I had to have a DNC on March 12 and then had an IUD placed a few weeks later. About a month after that, I decided to have it removed and not worry about trying to get pregnant and just let it happen on its own. I also had what seemed to be a normal period lasting 7 days after the removal and then just started a period on Monday this week. I'm now on the tail end of my period and am wondering when the best time to try would be. I've have about 3 miscarriages in between my two boys and just want to expand my family?? Any answers.

What can I do next?

My neighbor had 3 miscarriages. At that point her doctor told her he would do some testing to see why she was having problems. He said 3 was the threshold for trying to figure out if something is wrong. They found a reason that was treatable and she gave birth to a healthy baby last year. Before you try to get pregnant you might discuss this with your doctor.

If you were to learn Naprotechnology you would know exactly when it is best to try again. Napro. would also help you to figure out why it is you have miscarry. I have used it for years. It helps you to get to know your body and the signs it produces. It has even helped the doctor to diagnose some pretty serious health issues and then put me on the right path to wellness.

If your hormones are all working together correctly, you would see some clear signs of fertility such as very clear cervical mucous that stretches over an in long.

Hope this helps.

My period was completely normal after my IUD (started the same day as usual) and I got pregnant on that first try after my first period.

I am so sorry for your losses. I too have had a miscarriage. This was in between my son and my daughter, and I conceived my daughter about 3 months after the m/c, so it most definitely is possible.

I really would talk to you doctor about the recurrent m/c's. 3 consecutively seems like there would be an underlining issue to tackle or address before ttc again.

I would also recommend checking out the website FertilityFriend. It is a great site!! That is where I learned to chart my cycle and understand it a little better. The book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility is also a great little "assistant" to have when ttc.

There really isn't an exact timeframe for when you are fertile and ready for that little baby dancing to take place. It is sooo different from woman to woman so learning the signs of your body is the BEST way to make a more "educated guess" for when that egg is on the move.

The website has chat rooms and tons of people to talk to about charting and all of that. It was great!
