Does anyone know of or can recommend a place that can either make or I can get the supplies to make my own Wedding invitations? I am due to have my baby in August. we just bought a house and are closing in July and we are getting married in Las Vegas in October and plan on having an at home casual reception. First of all.. I am having a hard time trying to find the wording for that.. and 2nd I am having a hard time finding invitations that dont cost $3.00 each as well.

What can I do next?

You can find some nice kits at Target. It's like 50 invites w/ envelopes, thank you notes as well all in one kit that are about $30-40. There are several designs and all you have to do is put it through your printer. The instructions are very easy to follow.

Good Luck and Congrats!

Hi - have you tried Office Depot or Office Max? I was looking for some specialty paper and was surprised at what a nice selection of preformatted paper items they had. Pretty colored designs, some embossed, etc. You set up a Word doc using their specs and run the paper through you printer, then cut along the pre-perforated lines.

There's a mail order company that I've used before these types of items were available at office supply stores -
www.paperdirect.com

Hope this helps.

Good luck with all your upcoming exciting events!

You can always purchase specialty paper at Office Depot (they always have coupons for puchases) and then get a few lovely rubber stamps and some ink. I did this for my sister's wedding. Purchased fancy paper from Office Depot. Then used a rubber stamp and ran the majority of the invitation through the printer from the computer using a fancy font. They came out beautifully and I made 100 invitations for around $100.00. That was the invites, the maps, the RSVP cards as well as the Thank-You cards since my sister wanted them all to match! Good Luck! P. :)

I have a similar story! My son was born 2 days before our first wedding date, and we ended up getting married 3 months later.

Anyway, your question: We purchased the materials at PaperSource. We spent $80 for 100 invitations (40 invites, made twice since the first ones ended up being for the wrong date, plus some extras), and the envelopes. My husband is a graphic designer and made a simple design for the invite and we used velum on the front with a monogram of our initials and the wedding date.

If you'd like, I could send you one of the leftovers.

I did my own and it was much cheaper thn anyplace I looked. I got my supplies from paper direct. I loved the out come. I had to play around alot to get them centered correctly and you have to have a nicer printer for them to feed correctly and print clearly. Alot more owrk than I had planned but turned out great.

Congrats on your little blessing! I have seen kits at places like Staples and Office Depot where you can make your own invitations and they look pretty nice. Also, I have seen kits at Jo-Ann fabrics or Michaels where you can make your own invites and they have the dried flowers or little decorations and are very cute. Good luck!

Here is a suggestion I used for my invitations of my wedding 8 years ago. I bought the entire invitation kit at office max. Maybe try Office Depot, Avery, & try a scrapbooking store. The wording can be found easly if your willing to sit at the library & look at some Martha Stewart Wedding books or edicite on wedding invitations. Also, Michaels craft store, JoAnn Fabric store & Hobby Lobby should be a great help. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding & birth of your baby girl. Hofefully, there some suggetions Best of Luck.
