The best arch support I found in tennis shoes have been Asics. Other than that, I'm a solid Clark's girl...found them and haven't found a pair I've been unhappy with yet. Good luck!
I am on a quest to find some comfortable shoes with arch support. I have something like mortons neuroma in ball of my right foot so I have to have good support in arch to take pressure off of ball of foot. I have orthotics to put in my tennis shoes but finding casual/dress and low heeled dress shoes is very difficult.
I don't have a shoe fettish so if I could find a couple colors in a casual shoe and low heel dress shoe I'd buy a couple of each and be done! I ordered 5 different pair of Dansko (used to wear clog in hospital) shoes and none fit right. Plus can't find any that aren't clunky looking.
Anyone else out there have this problem? Thanks for your help.

Did you try the dansko mary jane's? They are the only ones that work for me. Good luck!
Try a store called Footworks in KCMO. It is located at 103rd St. right off State Line Rd. You can get there easily off I435.
They can fit you with shoe inserts and also have a small line of Propet shoes. I have bought three pairs of shoes from them and they make my aching feet feel much better.
Ozzie Smith recommended the good feet store.
I completely understand where your coming from, I wear eigner loafers as I have a very high instep with wearing a very small shoe size, So not all shoes will work due to instep being so high an no arch support. The clog dress casual is also good I can wear them also I prefer the lower heel ones then the high ones. So I hope this helps out.
I have the same problem, only with me it's plantar fasciitis (spelled wrong), and I need good arch support. You might try Dillard's shoe department and look at the Nurture line and the Merrill line. Both are usually very supportive and comfortable. However, I've found that I always need some sort of arch pad inserted in my shoes. Dillard's sells one that has a sticky backing that you just stick in your shoes. It is quite good. Also, try Hapad.com, which has all kinds of arch supports you can buy...you can also request their free catalog. Good luck! I need to just spend a whole day shopping for shoes, because I am so tired of just wearing my ugly old tennis shoes all the time (in which I insert my inserts from the Good Feet store). Those inserts are too big for inserting in "real" shoes, so I'm always looking for smaller inserts that will fit in real shoes! It's such a pain! Let's hope our feet get better soon!
I agree with the Clarks recommendation, but I have found that Sketchers makes some really cute shoes that have great support. They are hybrids between tennis shoes (soles and insoles) and cute casual shoes.
I also like Soft Walk.
My favorite shoes hands-down are Stuart Weitzman. These are investment shoes, but I sometimes find them on sale at Neiman's, Nordstrom or DSW. I wore a single pair of Stuart Weitzman ballet flats (with a great insole) my entire pregnancy. For EVERY occasion.
My husband has feet/shoe issues. We found this store, foot solutions, and they are AWESOME!!
They have people there that completely measure your feet and find the right shoe and/or insert to match your needs. They have several different styles...some that are very cute! The staff was VERY nice and knowledgeable.
My hubbys shoes were $115. Not super cheap, but not too bad either.

Clarks are great shoes - They are getting better with styles and not looking so "old lady-ish". You can find a good selection at Shoe Carnival. Watch the paper for coupons, they usually have a $5 off in the Sunday ads.
They run anywhere from $40 - $100+. I still have a pair of Clarks that are at least 5 years old and I really should throw them away, but they are just so comfy that I can't bring myself to do it!
Good luck and happy feet! Have fun shopping!
I have nortons neuromas in both feet and have very wide feet so finding something comfortable can be a challenge. I have been leaning toward Keens lately. They have both casual and dressier shoes available, which I didn't realize until I headed back home to the northwest this summer. I got a really nice pair of Keens at Nordstrom's that I can dress up and then bought a couple pair of casual ones - both of which I found at DSW. Some have more arch support than others but when you find it they are a great shoe.
Cobbie cuddles from walmart are great Tennis shoes and Payless has a Flat brown suede Dress shoe with fringe Real cute, kinda like a mocassin but better.
I too, have had many foot problems and have found my best source for shoes is Comfort Plus Shoes. They are in the same shopping center as the Panera Restaurant near to I 29 on Barry.
These shoes can be pricey but I have found because of their quality I don't need to buy new shoes every year--I have a pair of sandals that have worked wonders for my feet that I bought 3 or 4 years ago and are still going strong.
