In Need of an Affordable Bi-weekly Housecleaning Service in LaGrange

I have a ranch home that is in need of help. I have a 10 month old active little boy, plus both my husband and I work full time and are focusing our spare time on getting back into shape (which has to take place after our son is in bed). This is leaving very little time for more than the basics when it comes to housework. I have gotten prices through Merry Maids in the past, but they were very expensive. Any suggestions on a reliable & trustworthy housekeeping group or service in the LaGrange area would be appreciated!

What can I do next?

I just switched cleaning services to a local one (out of Willowbrook) and it's working out well. She gives you a scheduled time and same person everytime and they do a good job. It's Janet's Cleaning (www.janetscleaning.com) and I know she has bi-weekly availability. I found them to be a little more than what I was paying before, but then again my house is now getting a lot cleaner. Janet herself will come to your house and give an estimate and there are no contracts or anything like that.

M.,

Hi, live in Riverside and have been using a service for over 6 months, the nice thing about them is that they charge $15 an hour. So depending on how long and what you want them to do really determines what you pay. I think they do a great job and when I have been dissatisfied, I have called the owner and she has fixed the problem. Give them a call, the owner's name is Maria the phone # is ###-###-####

Good Luck...

Why don't you try checking our Craigslist.com. That website has TONS of listings for everything. You can either browse for listings of people who are looking to clean, or you can post a listing of your own (for free) describing what you're looking for and how much you're willing to spend. I get cleaning service quotes about 3-4 times a year here at work, always through agencys (same type that you're getting pricng from) and they base your quote on the square footage and also charge you extra for what they deem special services (i.e. stripping the tile floor, outside windows, etc)...so it IS very pricey. If you decide to go with an independant, it'll most likely be a flat rate.
