The website for Department of Family and Protective Servies is a great place to search for in-home day cares and to view violations. It is a great tool!
Hi, Mamas!
I'm just looking into all childcare options and wasn't sure how to locate in-home childcare centers to check out. Does anyone know of any, or know a good source to find them? I'm in the N.Dallas/Richardson/Plano area...

The State of Texas has a website, it is The Department of Family and Protective Services. You can look up by zip code and then you can read their profile and see what kind of inspections that they have had. Also, www.pickofnorthtexas.com is an association that has names of people for Allen and Plano area. We also have one provider in Haslet and Dallas area. If you have any questions please call me at ###-###-####. Good Luck!

Hi Elyse,
I'm an in-home childcare provider and though I'm full right now, I can give you 2 referral numbers. The first is for Plano ###-###-#### (Nancy) and the second is for Richardson/Garland ###-###-#### (Brenda). These ladies can tell you who has an opening. All providers in the group are listed or registered with the state.
Good luck to you!
