J., I would suggest watching Craigs List for the going rates and services provided. You can guage it on location and child age etc... It is what I did, and it works pretty well for me. I also found a great web-site that has good "forms" if you need. It's www.thedaycarelady.com. I used her forms (all 7 contacts) and pieced mine own together. But, it was nice not having to re-create the wheel. Hope that helps.

I pay $150 week for each of my boys in Shawnee- she gets 2 weeks off a year paid and various holidays (Christmas eve/day after Thanksgiving/Pres Day/MLK Day/Fri before spring break(one vac week is spring break week)-

I have a day care in Overland Park. I charge $200.00/wk full time for under one and $190.00/wk for over 1 year. Most of my children are part time and I charge $45.00 per day. I have paid holidays and 11 days vacation. I am almost always full. You might want to consider part timers because there are a lot of moms looking to work part time and you actually make more money that way. Be sure to get you name on either/both daycareconnection.org and familyconservancy.org list for daycare providers with current openings. Good luck, it really is a great job!
