We just moved here about 2 months ago and I've yet to find a hair stylist. Is there a great place to go for a trim and some high-lights without spending a fortune? I live on the westside near Rio Rancho but, would be willing to travel for someone exceptional. Thanks for any advice!

What can I do next?

Hi S., I go to Julie at the Hair Goddess on Alameda at Rio Grande. I'm picky about my short haircut, but don't do highlights so I don't know about that. But she sure knows how to cut hair.

Dahlia at High Maintenance in Rio Rancho near Big Lots/Kmart is fantastic! Especially good with color and reasonable prices. I moved here 4 years ago and while she was out for maternity leave, I was miserable with my hair. Now, she's back and I have not been disappointed. Hope you will give her a try. Good luck! K.

I moved here 3 years ago from Arizona, and after having a myraid of choices for hair salons, I've had a really hard time here finding the same qauality as I had in AZ. The two places that I found have great stylists are the Mark Pardo Salons (there is one near Cottonwood Mall) and La Bella Salon on Coors, just south of Alameda. I can't promise you that they are not going to cost you. You get what you pay for and I would rather pay than get a cut or color I regret. Good luck.
