Well whatever happened it was probably my fault. It usually is.

I think for some people, who you may or may not be speaking of, to be offended enough to stomp out of here, she would have to figure out who is actually offending her. Apparently being helpful is rude and being rude is helpful so until she sorts that out.......

Well, it's according to who the person is, JM. One lady was very hurt by nasty comments when she wrote about something regarding her son and his orthodontist. She came on here and said goodbye and she was NOT awful in talking about it when she said she was leaving. SURPRISINGLY, people didn't talk to her like a dog when she said goodbye. For reasons I don't quite understand, most of the time people turn into beotches on those threads.

She's going through some stuff right now and she is very fragile. It's good that she is walking away from the site, in my view.

She is FAR different from some others, two who I can think of. One never listened to anything anyone said and was one of the most judgmental people on this board. Funny, she said she didn't come on here to learn anything, but to be entertained. But oh good grief, the rigamarole she would post about all her troubles getting people to pay her for the daycare she provided! And she could J. be so nasty to people trying to give her advice. She finally couldn't take the sex questions and acted like everyone on here was going to the bad place. She's the kind of poster that I don't care if they leave...

The other one I remember is the one who came on here looking for 3-somes and wanted to cause fights by writing inflammatory questions about stuff. Turns out that she is used to writing blogs, and that's what she really wanted. She went out in a huge blaze.

Threads on here aren't supposed to be a blood sport. It would be really nice if people here would remember that, even when someone says they are leaving.

To each their own. There is ALWAYS going to be someone who doesn't like what I say or the advice I give. Oh well. That's life.

If I was a betting girl? in the next 24/48 hours, we will get a "new" member coming on telling us how rude and mean we are....in sync with one that says "I can't get any answers here - you mamas and papas are mean people." So 24-48 hours.

I think she's hit the Alt/F4 combo and is no longer on the internet - so probably tomorrow.

Soon. I'm sure they'll need to slam the door loudly and stomp away so everyone knows J. how offended and bullied they feel, and how they J. want to be accepted and doesn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings and THEY never say ANYTHING mean, but ONE person here on MP is a big a-hole and a BULLY!

She's calling people out for being rude and then she turns around and posted what she did and thinks that is not rude.... WOW.

I feel sorry for the children involved... at least we can bypass posts.

I have notice this has been going on since the end of sept. not sure why so many moms are so upset, angry and frustrated.. but I have noticed a change of tone on here.

I'm not sure why people can't J. quietly take a break or go do something else if this site isn't working for them. My guess, however, is that as the holidays come closer and more hot topic posts (Black Friday, the perceived disallowing of Christmas, how much we all spend on gifts, who should go to whose house for the holidays, etc etc etc) come up AND as we all get a bit more stressed and sunlight-deprived, we'll likely see at least one.

I honestly don't understand people sometimes. If you ask a question you are not always going to hear what you want to hear but there is no reason to get all upset. If you don't agree with them fine. Not a big deal.

I do feel badly that people are often very sensitive to the replies they get on their posts, and can't get the support we are all on here for.

It's funny, though, as I was reading some posts last night and today, I was thinking that there is a 'snarkier' tone lately, which is disappointing. And there are definitely posters who I have come to realize J. have a negative/critical bent to their replies. But unlike the sensitive crowd, I have learned to bypass them and J. ignore them. I guess not everyone is willing to do that.

Can't we all J. get along? :-)

They want a public scene. Don't give it to them. I used to post on another Mom site Cafe(not naming names), and the folks there were bloodthirsty. I don't think I've checked back there in a couple of years, and boy is my stress level low!

Those that don't want a scene J. want to inform their friends here that they need time away. Also leave them alone, with a well wish or two.

I think when people "leave" they often come right back with a different account.
Heck, it surprises M. that even "active" members have the energy, lack of life, or organization to keep track of their own multiple personalities here!
Personally, I'm not going anywhere.
If people that want to leave with a "flounce," that's their choice, I guess.
