I wonder if this is to late... My 3 year old son would do the same thing. And like you the doctors have told me to do all the same things that you have mentioned.. The have some rectal suppositories that umm... here we go are called..Fleet Glycerin Suppositories. Its for children 2 -under 6, they are over the counter and cost little. They are like a laxative. I also have put my son on juice like 3 cups a day or more, but I use apple or cherry, which seems to help loosen things up. I would talk to your docto about something called MiraLax (not certian how its spelled) It helps add more liquid to the stool, making it easier th come out. I hope this helps alittle. And good luck.

My son had the same problem as an infant, but this trick may work...Get a seat massager and place it under her sheets, at naptime and/or bedtime place her on her back or stomach with the massager turned on LOW. It helps the bowels move and relieves the built-up gas. It worked for my son. I hope it helps you too..

Hi M.,

You are probably already doing this, but I thought I'd respond anyway. I am a recovered anorexic/bulimic, and when I was in the height of my illness, I ruined my digestive tract from laxative overuse. Now I suffer horribly with constipation. Here's what works for me: I really despise the texture of oatmeal, but Quaker recently created a Banana Nut Bread flavor and if I can stomach it, anyone can. It is instant (cooked in the microwave), and I eat a bowl of it in the evenings. The next day, my 'problem' is solved! Also, Quaker Oatmeal Squares (cold cereal in a blue box) are fantastic. I eat them as a cereal with milk, or I just eat them straight out of the box as a crunchy snack. They are delicious, and I stay relatively regular (every other day or so). I hope this is helpful to you. I know how difficult constipation can be.

God Bless,

A.

not sure how late this is coming, but my son had the same problem. I never could get my mother-in-law to not give him milk so he wouldn't have a BM for days then when he did he would scream and cry and then get a rash from the messed up acidity. We started getting milk with acidopholus(sp?) in it. And if I was cooking something with it I would boil the milk first and then use it in whatever I was cooking. They also have acidopholus supplements you can give them if they want to eat cheese or ice cream. Hope this helps, but of course the best thing to do is ask a doctor first.
