I heard the HCG drops were being discontinued by the FDA within the past few weeks. I had a colleague do this with success but has been receiving discontinuation notices recently.
If you tried the HCG diet/drops and lost weight, can you tell me what you ate? Im going to try it but im not sure about what to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can you give me an idea of what you ate, whats allowed, what isnt, etc. I know its 500 calories with protien and vegetables but im sure there is more to it. Also, if you used the drops, where did you buy/order them? Any tips would be helpful.

Don't buy at Walmart! They don't have the hormone necessary to burn the far without muscle. I did two rounds under doctors watch. I used two different companies just be ause one had a sale. Both worked fine. Yourhcg.com and liquidhcgdiet.com
What a great way to start ur new year! Good luck to u!
I used liquidhcgdiet.com and was quite happy with the diet and the results. Christine W's right that the FDA has sent out letters to many HCG companies telling them they need to stop selling the drops. So if you're serious about doing this diet, you'll need to buy soon. I've heard from MANY people that the drops sold at Walmart, Walgreens, etc. don't contain the correct formula and you'll be hungry all the time. I wasn't hungry once using the drops from liquidhcg.
Oh - to answer your other question. Yes, it's 500 calories a day. And it's only protein and veggies, plus a few breadsticks. If you order from a reputable place, they'll include a booklet with all the details, recipes, etc.
My cousins wife lost 100 lbs using this. It took a year. She started the drops and lost the first 50 then she started exercising. There is a website that has the HGC meal plan. She even got my cousin on board and he has lost 75 lbs. They have changed their lifestyle totally! I am very proud of them.
My sister in law did and lost 10 lbs in 2 wks. She doesn't have that much to lose. The diet is pretty strict. Nothing white, sugar, flour, rice. Only whole grains, non fat protien and lots of veggies.
Good luck!

My coworker bought them at Walmart. She actually hasnt changed the way she eats on purpose, but it has cut down her appetitite and she is eating smaller portions - 500 calories is not in her vocabulary. But in 2 wks, she has lost about 10 lbs. I don't know what you are supposed to eat, but if it was me and I only had 500 calories I would want maximum nutrition for my calorie. I would eat leafy greens, berries, string cheese and soy for protien, fruits, veggies. i would make every calorie count! You need protein and fiber to keep you full and regular.
There are online diet plans. It does work! I wasn't hungry at all. There are some supplements you should be taking as well. My typical diet was an egg and steak for breakfast, apple for a snack, chicken spinach salad for lunch, strawberries for a snack, then chicken and veggies for dinner. Lots of veggies, and everything in small portions is the key. You're never hungry when you eat the right balance. I hate water so I also had black and green tea with stevia. My friend who is a naturopath ordered them for me and we chatted or texted every day during the diet almost.
My sister and I are getting ready to start this diet at the end of the month. There is a doc in Libertyville that does the nasal spray, but he monitors everyone to make sure there are no side effects. He also makes you read the book, so you understand everything about it. His name is Dr. Elvove. Number is ###-###-####.
500 calories?? I don't know anything about this diet or have any advice for it, but your body needs more than 500 calories a day. That's really not a great way to lose weight. Sensible dieting...1200-1500 calories a day for a woman...combined with moderate exercise seems much more sensible.
Honestly? 500 calories? I'm getting ready to have my evening snack, which will at LEAST be 500 calories. I could lose about 30 pounds of baby weight, and the only reason I don't is because I probably eat about 3000 calories a day. (I justify this because I am breastfeeding and burn it all off...if I cut out the snacks, I'd probably lose all the weight I needed to.)
It's really so simple...create a deficit between how many calories you eat and how many calories you burn. Sorry...I just can't get over 500 calories!!! I'd die!!! :)
