I just dropped my BC and we had fun. I finally decided to track periods two months in from dropping BC, charted 1 month and didn't have a period the next!
...will I get pregnant pretty quickly? or should I do the whole basal body temp/cervical mucus tracking? Or ovulation kits?? I want to get pregnant fast but it sounds like so much work to track. LOL. advice? prev experience? Thanks!

Every other day is perfect. Do like we did in the old days. Just have fun!!! Seems like a whole lot of work!!!! Enjoy!!!!
Darn it… based on the title, I was hoping this was like "if you give a mouse a cookie…"
Best way to get pregnant is to not try to get pregnant. The more you stress over trying to get the timing right and all of that, the more stressed out you end up and the less likely you are to get pregnant.
Not every pregnancy takes. So even if you fertilize it could not take before you even have time to take a pregnancy test.
Pick up the book "Taking Charge of your Fertility" and read it. It's an easy read. It will help you understand where your cycles are and how to track them if you really want to go that route. Even the book says what I did though. Stop trying and it will happen.
It might work.
Or it might not.
Sometimes the stress you put on yourself in wanting it so much makes it that much harder to conceive (and then people relax and have fun and THEN get pregnant).
Ovulation kits should help you get the timing right.
If it doesn't work one month you can always try again next month.
Yep, but also relax, have some wine and fun....
Certainly sounds like more fun.
There are period tracker apps that also give approximate ovulation times based on your period. PeriodPlus is one of them. Pillow under the hips after sex lets gravity help the swimmers along farther into the uterus.
I also recommend "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". Lots of great information.
Do you know when you ovulate at all? I know every month because my mucus gets all liquidy and sometimes it seems like I am peeing my panties because it gets so wet. Then I get awful ovulation pains, which actually hurt more than menstrual pains. I know, TMI, but really, it can be that simple.
But to answer your question, I would go to the dollar store, get a bunch of ovulation tests, and use those. Every other day for a week around your ovlation should be ok, but the whole month may be pushing it!
If that doesn't work, you can try temp/mucus tracking more. It does work.
I tracked because I thought I had irregular periods. Turns out they were regular just 42 day cycles. So, I didn't ovulate until around day 26.
I did this for a few months before we were trying to get pregnant and while I was off birth control.
Then we got pregnant every time we tried because I knew my body.
The only tracking I ever did was to chart my periods using the My Days app. It shows your probable ovulation days based on the last day of your period and your cycle averages. Not perfect, but not much work either. We had sex often and daily when it showed I was fertile. I also sat with my hips elevated on a few pillows for 20 minutes or so immediately after sex each time.
Got pregnant in just two cycles after going off birth control with the first two, 4 cycles with the third (no BC in between 2 & 3), and surprised with #4 when my cycle was slightly off due to weaning.
who knows? every woman is different, and so are the partners involved.
you can certainly go the scientific route. on the other hand, sex every other day- or every day- may just do the trick, and everyone will enjoy it.
why not give it a shot?
you can always go to mucus-checking if you have to. for me it would be a mood-killer<G>.

Your first course of action (frequent sex) seems like a really good way to start. Maybe if that doesn't work after three months, you can start moving on to tracking stuff, etc.
We didn't do any tracking or ovulation kits, and it took us 9 months to get Child #1 started and 5 months for Child #2. I was in my 30s. Don't stress or fret and you are more likely to succeed (or have fun, in any case). Good luck!
I aimed for halfway through my cycle and made sure to have several chances those 4-5 days.
I was told to have sex on day eleven after the START of your period. Abstain for a few days before-hand so "load" is nice and big, then have sex every other day for 7 days.
It worked too.
what I can tell you from experience?? Don't TRY...just have fun!!
The more you stress over it? The harder it will be to conceive.
Don't waste your money or your time....just have sex for fun!! YAHOO!!
Don't think "ooh this is the time I'm going to get pregnant" - you will send your body into flight or fight mode and it will FIGHT...so just ENJOY!!
I knew when I was ovulating each month by paying attention to the cervical mucus.
I never tracked my temperature or used an ovulation kit. You really don't need that if you just pay attention to your body.
I was lucky and got pregnant the first month we tried with all 3 of my kids.
Good luck!
I tracked it for a month to try to figure it out - I used the basal body temp. So I knew what my best 2 days were. That worked for first pregnancy.
For following pregnancies, I used the ovulation kits.
Both worked very well. I had sex the three days around ovulation.
Hope that helps :)
This is what my DH and I did when we were trying for our first. We did it every other day and got pregnant the first month. But, we were 25 years old.
You can try this for a few months, and if it doesn't work then move on to tracking.
