My last period start date was Jan 21st and I was scheduled to start Feb 18th.
I have had a pap smear done on Feb 11th that came back normal.
I ordered the Merina IUC and i am waiting for my period to start for it to be put in but I have yet to start my cycle.
I have taken 3 pregnancy tests...Clear Blue Easy Digital (Neg) and the second one was an error. The third test was by First Response which was also Neg.
So If I am not pregnant than why have I not started my cycle yet?
I am 32 years old and in the past have been irregular but since the birth of my daughter have been on a normal 28 day cyle. I have been sick and on antibiotics and thought that might have caused it to be late but by almost a MONTH!!!
I figured I would give it another week and then go see my Gyno and find out why I have not started.
Does any one have any ideas and have this happend to you.
UPDATE:
I wanted to respond to those who have replied on possible causes.
I am not on BC and have not been on it for about 6 months now.
I am 135 lbs and have been the same weight since my daughter was born about 2 years now.
I am not under any undue stress other than the normal SAHM stuff dealing with a toddler.
I have no time for exercise other than running after my toddler and house work.
Thanks to all those who have given me some helpful advice.
It turns out my body just skipped a month! Not sure why but I am not pregnant!!!
Had the Mirena put in last month and very happy with it!

okay so this just happened to me too. i was late so i took a test it was neg. so i decided to wait it out & see, i finally started but i skipped a whole month (i ended up going for like 6wks without one)! but getting a blood test is always a good idea, at least then you will know for sure!

I would go to your Dr and get a pregnancy blood test. They are much more accurate than the urine ones. The urine ones have come a long way but the blood tests are better. I think, not sure, that they can do an instant blood test. That way you won't have to wait.

I was 8 weeks pregnant with my first child before a pregnancy test came back positive. My hormone levels were ROCK BOTTOM low and not even registering on the pregnancy test. Call your doc. It could be a lot of things. In college I had a large cyst that was keeping me from having a period. Stress can also be a BIG culprit! Good luck!

Sometimes if you don't ovulate, you won't start a new cycle. That happened to me when I lost a lot of weight in a short amount of time. My OB-GYN had to give me provera, (which is progestrone) tricking your body into thinking you've ovulated then you'll start your period and things start over. Good luck!

Stress, body fat too low, pysical stress from exercise can cause you to miss periods as well. I missed periods for 3 yrs straight due to all the above.
