I am having my best friend and her 3 kids( age 6 and under) come and visit next weekend and wanted to know some ideas for fun things. They have never been here, so I was thinking MOA and Como Zoo potentially. Does anyone have any other recommendations? Also, we are doing a "girls night out" and wanted to do dinner someplace fun, any ideas or favorties?! Thanks!

Children's Museum in St. Paul would be a blast with those age kids! (It is a bit spendy though)
The library passes are GREAT! We used them for the MN zoo, and the Walker Art Center (not so kid friendly, but still fun). I heard that the Bell Museum at the U is kid friendly.
Something else that is fun, if the weather is good, is a trip to Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis. A little outside time :)
I love to go out to Chino Latino in Uptown for girls night.

Use your library to get free passes to local museums. We recently went to the History Museum in St Paul and it is beautiful and very kid friendly. Mill City Museum is also a great visit for free! Science museum is also one of the free places, but it it is difficult to get the pass at the library. Also, as you may know, there are many indoor playgrounds that are AWESOME for energy burning activities: Maple Grove Community Center, Eagles Nest in Shoreview etc...
For a restaurant out: Babalus in Mpls is good...Great music, awesome food and nummy waiters! Expensive, but worth it.
The childrens museum is great but inexpensive the Como Zoo is a good choice. I suggest Ichiban to take your friend out it is a great time! Good drinks too!
