Hi moms!

We are swimming in Halloween candy and I don't just want to throw it all away, nor do I want my children to eat it all or save it for the next year! Does anyone have any suggestions? Someone to me to donate it to the troops but I have no idea to even go about doing such a thing. I am open to whatever...please help!

Thank you!
J.

J., Since the chocolate stuff can't be mailed to the troops consider donating it to your local school district. Teachers buy candy and treats with their own money to reward students it might be a nice surprise to get something that a teacher can use once in a while that she/he didn't have to pay for out of their own pocket.

Also, can we talk about your daycare? I own a foreign language school for youngsters. As part of my business I help match famiilies with daycares. I would like to talk to you to learn more about your daycare and see if I can refer families to you. Give me a call sometime if you want to be added to my list. Thanks, P. ____@____.com ###-###-####

We donate to the local food pantry/pads shelter. We have actually worked some years the day they pass it out. The look on the peoples faces was a great experience for my children to see. They are a little older, but the first time we did this my oldest was 10. You can donate to the troops, but anything chocolate or meltable is not allowed. Good luck.

Hi J.. Our schools in Dist 34 in Antioch are collecting candy to donate to our troops through the VFW. So you could call your local school and see if they are participating or call the VFW direct. :)
