We did a limo party for age 10. It was a huge hit. The limo picked each girl up at her house, then drove everyone around through town, etc. Afterwards, they came to our house, had pizza, crafts, and sleptover.
At 11 we did the hotel room. I got a suite at the Marriott Shops of Legacy, very nice. They met at the hotel room, checked out the hotel, swam for a while. Then everyone got ready we walked to dinner at Nicola's, then got ice cream on the way back to the hotel. They watched movies and then called for late night room service. In the morning, I had breakfast for them and they all left around 10. I think I had about 6 girls total on this party.
The Spa times are a lot of fun as well. I have not had a party with Spa day, my daughter and I regularly go to Spa day and it is a nice bonding time for us to be together at that time.
Enjoy.....they grow up TOO fast!
How about a Spa Party. All girls love to be pampered. If you need any help please let me know. I can do everything for you from setup to cleanup.
Thanks

I just went to a prty for a girl that was 11/ thye did a video scavenger hunt. All of the kids were split into groups of 4. The teams were given a list of crazy things to do i.e. play duck duck goose in the grocery store, have a police officer sing bad boys w/ you, kung fu fight in front of Starbucks. Each team was given a 2 hr. time limit. A different mom drove each team around a video recorded them. Then we all went back to the house and watched each teams videos and ate pizza. There were prizes for the funniest and the team thta did the most on the list. The kids LOVED it. You can google video scavenger hunt ideas.
If she likes the outdoors, we host parties at Meadowmere Park on Lake Grapevine - where we have our Kids Camps - www.AdventureDayCamps.com - archery, scavenger hunt, kayaking, etc. We also do corporate events and have done "road rallies" which are tons of fun and can be incorporated into a smaller group...limo, stops where they follow clues, complete a task, etc....like the amazing race. Let me know if you are interested...we can create a party around what your daughter is interested in.
I always like to recommend (especially for the milestone parties) that you have a photographer come capture the moments. This allows you to not have to worry about coordinating the party and capturing the memories. We offer incredible party deals so if you are interested let me know.
You can visit me at www.farroutphotography.com..
We cover all of North, Central and East Texas without travel fee's.
I hope your daughter has a wonderful birthday.
Great Wolfe Lodge in Grapevine is a blast. My daughter is 10 and we have been twice. LOVE IT.
What about taking the pool party to the next level by taking her and several friends to a water park for the day. (You may want to beg a friend to go along for your own company as well:) They are big enough to ride rides and enjoy a full day out. Or some other fun outing that could be fun. The hotel would probably be a blast...maybe if you are able you could combine the two and head to Great Wolf Lodge:) 10 is a fun year for a party...mine will turn 9 this year and is already talking about her 10th! ~A.~
One of my friends rented a suite a hotel for her daughter. We didn't get to go but she had two of her friends to help. They painted nails, and toes, and I think there was an indoor pool the there as well and the next morning the kids enjoyed a breakfast buffet. When my son turned 10 I had a movie night sleep over. I made his invites look like a movie ticket. I bought popcorn boxes, movie candy, made nachos, hot dogs etc. They watched movies and we played I am famous who am I, and they had a dance contest which dad got beat out but it was alot of fun and a lot of work. They had a pillow fight and my son is now 12 and the kids keep asking when is he having another one.. I am like one was enough.. LOL!
Hi C.,
I don't know if this is too early in your planning process...but I make really cute cakes. They're shaped in a ball, about the size of a golfball and on a stick. They're great for portion control and you don't need plates or forks to eat them. My website is still under construction, but it does show a few pictures. www.myla-concepts.com
I can also personalize each ball with "Happy Birthday..." I can send more pictures if your interested.
Also - when I was a kid a friend had a scavenger hunt in the neighborhood. We would go door to door asking for stuff...or just looking around for items...ie a big leaf, a rock with a hole, a lady bug, etc. It was a blast!
