*My friend got the glow in the dark braclets and put them all over the yard and split into teams and whoever got the most won a little prize. Or they could just all split the braclets. There was many things out there that is glow in the dark items at dollar stores or party stores..... seems fun.
*There is pottery you can buy at Micheals in a 4-5 pack and they can each paint.
*Give them some dough to all mold together and bake it for them.
*love the scavender hunt. We had the kids go in the neighbor hood and had chaparones and groups to go door to door to collect 20 items

Manicure parties are always a big hit. Rent a movie (age appropriate). Make jewelry (there are lots of kits for that type of thing) or decorate t-shirts. Ask your daughter what types of things she wants to do. I'm sure you'll have a great time!

There are some great ideas here! I love the scavenger hunt. Also, think about board games like "Apples to Apples" or Twister.

Keep in mind that you really won't need a ton of activities. After one or two organized things and maybe a pizza (if it's dinner time) or birthday cake, I found my girls liked to just "hang out" with their friends, usually while watching a movie.

Pancakes, cut fruit and yogurt are a big hit for a sleepover breakfast at my house -- and monkey bread is always REALLY well received and a crowd pleaser.

By the way, when one of my girls turned ten she, too, had a sleepover with 4 friends. Since it was summer, we let them pitch a tent in the backyard and sleep outside (with other moms' permission, of course). THAT was a huge hit -- and inexpensive. A tent, a couple of flashlights, an open back door and the family dog to "guard" them was all it took for a terrific party.

Have fun!

American Girl has a sleepover ideas book -- look at your bookstore. Great for ideas galore.

Anything crafty, depending on what your daughter and her friends like to do. Girls this age love to make things. My daughter just had a 10th birthday sleepover in Feb. and she wanted to make "spa stuff." We made soaps (all materials available at craft stores, you only need to microwave the solid soap base); made simple lavender eye pillow from new socks and decorated them with ribbon and fabric paints (go online and search "lavender eye pillow"); made a sugar scrub and put it into glass Mason jars which the girls decorated with ribbons, sticker jewels and sticker labels they made (sugar scrub recipe: One part brown, one part white, moisten with sweet almond oil until it's a paste); made simple "scents" by just mixing essential oils of orange and lemon in distilled water and putting it into spray bottles which they could also decorate.

Another theme could be jewelry - go nuts at a craft store. The easiest bracelets to make are "memory wire" ones but you will need to crimp one end of each wire in advance and crimp the second end when the bracelet is done -- don't be intimidated, there are no clasps etc. with memory wire, just turning down the ends in a crimp with a tiny pair of pliers! They can string necklaces, weave friendship bracelets, etc. -- lots of kits for these.
