Does anyone know of any online site where I might be able to post it? I'd really love to get people to read it because it's from the perspective of someone who works in the industry and I think I could offer some good tips.

I haven't used it but have been thinking about writing short articles on things that I know about. They supposedly pay with with advertising click-throughs and the like. Good luck!
Try www.ehow.com...you can post 'how to' articles and make some cash on the side.
L., sweetie, before you do this PLEASE get your article trade marked. I used to work in the magazine business. This is sooo important. Also, you may be able to submit it to some hotel mags and get paid for it!!!
Maybe try submitting it to a local newspaper, or free paper like your local News & Review, or contact a website like about.com.

This is a great website that usually has its various articles popup in the top google searches. They have a place where you can submit articles. You can also browse to see if anyone has already submitted anything like what you're thinking of writing.
I would contact The Coast News. I bet they would publish it online!
Since LV hold a large part of the hotel industry and we have a fairly large population here, why no send your article into one (or more) of our local magazines. I will work on getting you the names. I have been in this industry for 22 years... Great idea.
I would try to hook up with a magazine or brochure. Big Bear puts out a small newspaper called the "Grizzly". They might be interested since they have cabin rental agancies and hotels in the area. Now is a big tourist season with all the snow up there.
Small publications are best. What audience do you want to reach? Also, look for bridal publications... Large restaurants or Banquet facilities do put out brochures as well. These include their "to-do" lists and vacation advertisements.
Traveling with kids.... try AAA. They have a quarterly publication. I receive it. Lots of articles in there...
