my mother in law is looking for a recipe that mixes pudding and ice cream together and putting the mixture in a pie crust. does anyone have the right recipe for this so she knows how much of each she needs.

I've never heard of mixing it with ice cream. My dad just always made chocolate pudding pie. But the recipes I found online asked for 1/2 gallon of ice cream and big box of pudding.

Ice Cream Pudding Pie

Prep Time: 15 min
Total Time: 4 hr 15 min
Makes: 8 servings

2 cups cold milk

1-1/2 cups vanilla ice cream, softened

2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Chocolate Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling

1 HONEY MAID Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.)


POUR milk into large bowl. Add ice cream and dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk or electric mixer on low speed for 2 minutes or until well blended. Let stand 5 minutes or until mixture is very thick and will mound.

SPOON into crust.

REFRIGERATE 4 hours or overnight until set. Store leftover pie in refrigerator.

Here's One I found, hope she can use it:

Ice Cream Pudding Pie

Ingredients:

2 Ready-made graham cracker crusts
1 box instant vanilla pudding
1 box instant butterscotch pudding
1-1/2 c. milk
1 qt. Vanilla ice cream, softened
9 oz. container Cool Whip
Directions:

In large bowl mix together pudding mixes, milk, ice cream, and cool whip.
Pour into crusts and refrigerate.
Notes:

Makes 2 pies.
Tart shells may also be used.
Other pudding flavors may be substituted for butterscotch and vanilla puddings.
