You called your Doctor, he said you might be going into labor... and is that ALL he said??? Didn't he tell you anything else... like if you start having contractions every 5-10 minutes to go to the Hospital????
Didn't he tell you anything else??? On what to do or watch for???
I would, make sure you have transportation or call the Ambulance...
Looks like you lost your mucous plug.
When I lost my mucous plug... I went into labor THAT day....
Don't get out of bed until your husband has everything ready for you to go to the hospital! My daughter was born at 30 weeks. I had mucus, too, just like you. My doctor had me stay in bed for 24 hours (I don't know why, this was more than 30 years ago) and that didn't stop it. When I got to the hospital, my water had broken. Call your doctor back. My daughter was fine but very small (3 lbs) and she was in hospital for almost 2 months. Good luck.
if you think you're going into labor, i hope you're posting this on your way to the hospital... don't mess around with this - there are meds that can stop this if you get in before things progress too far.
If you are really worried have someone take you to the hospital. I have had a baby at 28 weeks. He is completely normal now. It may be expensive to go to the ER everytime, but it is less expensive then having a preemie in the hospital for 2 months. Many people have gone & found out that they are braxton hicks, but it is better to get checked out then to possibly deliver at home.
God bless!
Hi Momma-
Normal or not, please go to your doctor- sometimes they can keep you from delivering early. They can also check the baby and give you the best possible scenario from having the baby now to waiting, depending on your situation. Regardless of what happens, the hospital is your BFF right now.
Please, please go! Better to be hypervigilant in this case verses just sitting at home and waiting it out. My thought is that I would rather be at the hospital one too many times while pregnant than not enough.
Don't get scared, but do take your concern to the hospital asap.
Good luck and loads of prayers that your little one either waits it out or is healthy and ready now.

Sounds like you lost your mucous plug and it is a little early for that. Hopefully you have taken yourself to the ER. If you are in labor they can give you medicine to stop the contractions.
I hope that you are going in to the doc. My friend's water broke at 31 weeks, and was able to keep the baby in till 33 weeks. There are lots that the docs can do to try to stop the progress if you are in labor. Good luck.
No and yes....I went into labor about the same time. I was put on bed rest and told to drink tons of water. I continued to labor although my water didn't break until about 37 weeks. My doc told me I could get off bed rest and that she'd probably see me in the hospital in the next week or so.....4 weeks later I was induced! Go to the doc to get checked out. There are a lot of things that can be done to slow labor and help your baby's lungs develop faster in case you do deliver early.
Hopefully your doctor told you to come to the office or hospital to be monitored. If you're truly worried you are in pre-term labor, get to your docs office NOW!
Is that all your Dr said? If he thought you might really be going into labor I would think he would send you to the hospital to be monitored. You don't want the baby to come yet.
The tightening in your stomach sounds like Braxton Hicks. I didn't think they were painful, just kind of take your breath away.
If you really think you are in labor, I would go get monitored at the hospital. Like Jennifer T mentioned, there are meds to keep the baby from coming too early.
