There is an AWESOME bed and breakfast in Glen Rose. The Sunset Ridge is a wonderful place to rest and relax. The food is out of this world and the couple who own it are very nice. I have some pictures on my cell phone from our 10 wedding anniv last year that I could send you.

Also if you don't get to hang with friend without the kids often why not have a little get together and have fun all together
Cotton is the traditional gift for 2 years and China is the modern...well, I would think they would be the other way around....
So, if you think in a big picture kind of way....cotton....you could go for a long weekend to a cotton plantation...lol. Go to a farm and have some fun picking some cotton boles yourself. I am being goofy, I know. I remember stopping by the side of the road when I was a little kid and getting to walk up to a cotton field and pick some cotton all by myself. It was SUCH a big deal. I still have those cotton balls when I was in high school. I did research on how cotton was processed, how it grew, how it went from the farm to my clothes, it was totally awesome. So that's where the idea about a cotton farm came from.
I think finding a way to incorporate this into your plans would be fun. Even if is was shopping for something for him that has cotton in it.
I have china so I would not be wanting to have more but maybe you could find a potter who makes china or paints it. They you could go watch them make something and buy a memento.
Happy anniversary!
I always like getting a hotel room down town and making a night/weekend of it there, esp if you do not live "down town" so go to Dallas/Ft Worth for the night, get a room downtown and see the sights for the weekend.
can not help it ... ideas does not have an "l"
There are some great things to do within a couple of hours of Dallas or you could go to Austin on San Antonio. If you stay around here and live in a Surburb I would go stay at the new Omni in downtown Dallas or go to Ft. Worth and stay downtown at the Worthington and eat and shop. There is a wonderful resort outside of Glen Rose.
In San Antonio you could stay on the river at one of the Marriotts or go to the Hyatt Hill Country.
