I Need Help with a Night on the Town with My Husband and Friends.

My husband and I, along with some other couples, want to go out and have some fun - sans kiddos. We're looking for a grown up bar/club, where we won't run into a bunch of young people out looking for that night's hook-up. We want a place where we can sit, have drinks and relax - maybe some live music, pool tables an option, etc. . . But we would like it within walking distance of a decent hotel, so everyone can enjoy a few drinks without having to worry about driving. Does anyone have any suggestions that won't cost me an arm and a leg? Thanks, ladies!!

What can I do next?

We love going to Cool River www.coolrivercafe.com If you push tables together and eat dinner in the bar area you have great seats when the band starts. They also have pool tables. It is very nice and the food is great! I'm not sure if the hotels are in walking distance but definitely a short cab ride away. Have a great time!

I haven't been myself, but have heard the Glass Cactus in Grapevine is fantastic...and just what you are looking for, an adult bar. I have heard its a bit pricey, though. But, worth checking out! Hope you all have fun!

Try Republic in Las Colinas. It's new and right next to a BUNCH of hotels. I think it may even share a parking lot with one!
It has a huge bar area with lots of leather couches for lounging, a fireplace, awesome music( dj), and a separate dining if you want to have dinner. It's a swanky place. You'll love it! :)
It's right off 114 and Northwesy Highway. I think it used to be Tenaya.
They have ladies night on Wednesdays and Mon-Fri nights they offer $3 drink specials. You can even reserve your own table with bottle of liquor and mixers for $200 I think.

Martini Ranch is fun in Shops at Legacy in Frisco... the crowd is usually a little older 30's plus. But, there are a lot of singles... but, it is great fun to watch the people. Plus, the band is fun and plays '70's and 80's sometimes. Get there early if you want a table... you may have to pay for a reserved table -not sure. Then, you can walk over to Fox Sports Bar across the way. Or get an ice cream within walking distance. You can also eat dinner at Mi Casina within walking distance all in the same strip too. There are a lot of hotels along the tollway too.
